  1. 1. Do you like or dislike Buck Martinez as the voice of the Blue Jays?

    • Yes - He is a good voice of the Jays
    • No - He sucks and sounds like he's drunk
    • Meh - I don't care either way

I like Buck and Tabler.

Only one thing i don't like so much this season, Buck kinda stopped with his usual HR chant and just makes it up as he goes, i liked the older version.

"Deep drive to left field, Gardner at the track, at the wall, looking up, goodbye homerun!"

They don't call the ballpark in the Bronx the "Steinbrenner Center" or the park on Yawkey Way the "Henry Center" do they?

I refuse to acknowledge some arrogant doofus renaming an internationally known local landmark after himself.

I get what you mean and balked at it at first too. But Ted Rogers was a good business man who built and maintained a company from scratch. One of the few people in Canada who have done that without sticking a pitchfork in a patch of land somewhere. It's his offspring and successors who have turned Rogers into the directionless mess it is today. If Ted wants to rename the stadium he picked up for a song after himself...meh...it's in his power.

Okay buddy

Who is worse? Tampa's and Boston's teams are two of the best, NY's is decent, Baltimore's is alright. Buck and Pat aren't better than any of them.

Buck's "Get up ball, get up" is like the worst HR call ever lol.

Yea, i hate it when he does that.

"Goodbye home run" is the best.

I can't comment on TV as I don't listen to the other TV people, but I listen to the radio a lot on Sirius and there are lots of worse radio people than buck.

I don't mind him that much, but he's so far off sometimes, you'd swear he's drinking in the box. I listened to a Detroit broadcast recently and actually felt blessed to have Buck. Shows what a sad state baseball commentary has become. I honestly can't believe some of these guys actually have broadcasting jobs

That's how I feel about Barry Davis. Every time he speaks I have second hand embarrassment for him. I just cringe the whole time. At least they've stopped asking Price about the f***ing popcorn. I feel like Hazel Mae is the only one who should be allowed to speak on camera half the time.

Barry Davis and Arash Madani are both so cringeworthy. They both try so hard to be "cool guys". Every time Arash Madani says "dude" I can't decide whether to cry or throw up.

I don't mind him. I find his mess ups kind of funny and I love his "tchew fur tchew". Campbell was the worst and is still bad in his role. He's such a dork it's cringe-worthy. Like when he does that "clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap TULO!. Holy hell, Greg Zaun refuses to participate and there was someone standing in for Zaun a few weeks back who also seemed very uncomfortable with it.

And incredibly boring. At least Tabler tells stories and makes some corny jokes with Buck.

I agree with this. They seem like you're grandpa and his buddy calling the game. It's got it's charm I suppose.

Well after listening to some of the Rangers broadcast team, I was bored out of my mind. They were so bland. I like Buck; Tabler I'm not such a fan of but overall I don't think it's that bad.

I will say that it was pretty cool for Buck and Tabby to shut up during the Tiger's last at bat so that we could really hear the crowd.

I don't mind Buck as play by play guy but I am genuinely concerned with how off he's been lately in consistently calling the pitches and counts totally wrong, and now he's even screwing up simple things like player names, like calling Mark Lowe Derek a few days ago for example... Prob his mind/memory getting too foggy with age... I do think he was always better in an analyst role like he was in the 90's anyways and feel that's the role he should probably go back to.

My dream would be to have the reunion of the old TSN combination of Jim Hughson and Buck, but obviously that ain't gonna be possible... Loved Jim calling baseball games before he went over to calling hockey full time for good...

Jim Hughson always gets my vote for play by play guy.

I don't mind Buck and Pat at all. They delve into strains of homerism sometimes but that's to be expected given everyone involved in both the broadcast and the game are on Rogers' payroll.

I can see why some get put off, especially after hearing them 150 times a year, but I usually have other small things occupying me during games so I'm not really glued on their every word so much.

And if the Jays get to the WS we'll have to hear them through Joe Buck. So count your blessings now.
