A quick look at the at bat app , it's not hard to see. Smoaks hit was a change that hung over the middle of the plate. Pillars hit was also up. he has been a lot better last 2 innings though yes.

First two innings? No, he has pitched way better after the second, he was bad first 2 innings, lucky Jays only got 4, Bautista missed 2 meatballs, JD took a couple, etc..and the hits were all up in the zone. He has got it going now, but he was not good first 2 innings
