problem is that the Yankees are feasting on everything at this point. they have put up a s*** load of runs over the last couple weeks. we were about 80 runs ahead of them and now we are only 54 ahead. They have passed us in HR. Their AVG is only 5 points behind now.

Angels and Yanks had a torrid July, offensively, and are still rolling.

we have been unlucky that when the Jays had a roll the yankees had a better month. we didn't make up any ground, we just didn't lose any. it was a couple weeks where the whole division either lost or won except for NY.

NY has to either go on a really s***** run or the jays need to walk on water.

not saying we need to feed 5000 people with a couple fish and bread, but we do need a minor miracle.

Cashman says Michael Pineda will not pitch in August; Pineda no lanzará en agosto

Hope Tanaka or Tex go down. Wouldn't mind Ellsbury either.

I could be wrong but this doesn't seem like good sportsfanmanship

how much would it cost to have their clubhouse cook taint a few meals? lol

We need to convince Snider, he's an O, I hear he likes to cook, he might do it.

I love to cook, but I don't get into their clubhouse too often. lol

We play 7 of those 13 games at Yankee Stadium. I'll be satisfied if we go 7-6.

It's true that the Jays have been trash on the road this year, but they have a winning record on the road against AL East opponents and are 2-1 at Yankee stadium.

no further comments, but I never looked at it this way - two starter swing with the Jays getting Price and Pineda down for August per John Paul Morosi.

Also I hope the Jays release Wolf as an F-U to his bro after his next gem in Buffalo

Good 100th post, or best 100th post?

*Edit: Apparently not your 100th. Dammit, I didn't see you had posted again in this thread.

Angels aren't rolling at all. We're about to pass them for the 1st wild card spot.

ahh... oops. just looked at the standings and didn't see that they were playing the late game. just that they had won their last game.

I just realized how ludicrously easy the remainder of the Yankees schedule is.

Meanwhile, the Jays last seven games of the season will all be away games, with four at Camden and three at Tropicana. The Jays could defy all odds and manage to catch the Yankees over the next few weeks and still fall short of the division title if they have a poor stretch in that last week of games.

This is going to be a marathon.

Division won't happen if the Yankees don't have a bad stretch. At least we have an ace if we have to play a wild card game. Jays have to win when the yankees win and win when the yankees lose. tall order if the yanks don't s*** the bed for two weeks.
