ColdPint Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Well, the Jays are sure to qualify Price, obviously, so there's always the compensation pick if he chooses to sign elsewhere. I'm sure that'll factor into AA's decision to include top prospects. Assuming of course that there's any truth to all these rumours. Too much smoke for there not to be a fire though.
MunenoriKawasakiMVP Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Lol @ everybody overrating Price value. KC didn't give Cincinnati nearly as much for Cueto

BlueBirdBro Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Think of the fact that even if we pay a steep price to get him, we'd be possibly preventing him going to the Yankees. 12 games left against them and if they had added price, that would have been that much tougher.
LTR Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 If it's just Norris... maybe I can bare it, it's still super stupid
ColdPint Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Ahh, my mistake guys. Thanks for the correction. Well this changes things considerably then.
jays76 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Well this just spiced up the day regardless of the outcome.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 What is this from? What did we read incorrectly? in reference to all the Jays fans welcoming him to the team.

Jays aren't able to qualify him. Has to play the entire year with the team to receive a QO. Edit: late to the party.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I agree. Cespedes in Left and Smoak at first would not only give us an elite O but also elite D lol @ those OF arms

Yeah that's a moot point given how far ahead they are already and how close we are to a wildcard.

That's a really good point. They play the Yankees what 13 times still? Facing Price maybe 3 times vs having Price for those starts is a huge difference.
MunenoriKawasakiMVP Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Never forget guys. AA's biggest moves were done behind the scenes. Maybe right now he is working something for Carrasco, Ross or Karns and he just used Price as a smoke screen
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 F5 f5 f5 f5 I know i want Brock Lesnar to F5 AA too right now.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Dont do this Alex, go get Shields, Dont do this. This is not good. Not unless you are extending Price. What if AA kills the Farm and gets both! Nothing would surprise me when the Ninja attacks!

fireballW Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I have always supported AA, though questioning some moves, but giving up both Alford and Norris would be dumb unless AA is almost sure, for whatever reason, that Norris will fall below expectations.
ColdPint Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I hate the thought of the "price" for picking him up but I can't deny that part of me would love to see this happen after so many years of being the afterthought. So conflicted.
fireballW Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Norris and Alford would be stupid. I have always liked AA and believed in him. That would be ridiculous though.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Kenny Ken reporting Norris may be involved. I'm getting scared. Terrified.
McDude Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 im fine with giving up norris, but to add anything of value beyond that is just stupid..
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 Beeston is the man right now. I hate him
