BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 f*** for those four you almost could get the whole tampa bay Rays! But you have to throw in money or a new stadium, wonder how much the Big O is worth! Lol
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I derped big time on that tweet and to top it off I've seen that tweet multiple times today
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 How s***** must Smoak feel. "Sorry buddy, you're losing your number, no one cares about you"
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Every organization has guys in their system who are touted. AA has taken a big chunk of those guys away. Many prospects don't pan out anyway and now the odds are even loss with many of the highest prospects gone. Our system has been gutted whether you want to admit it or not. Except it hasnt, because we kept our best prospects.
jays76 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Guys I will cherish every Price start as he is great and a bluejay. I'm not rooting against him This division will be won or lost with our 13 game showdown with the Yankees and the dozen or so quality starts (hopefully) remaing from Price. This will be an exciting couple of months for us..
baloojayz Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I meant its going to be a rebuild 2-3 years later after this window lol it's going to be a rebuild at some point for every club
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Jesus Christ lol... Excited but at the same time I feel like we overpaid for a rental!!
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 If only but DD knows better Judging by his farms and drafts.....not so much.
jays76 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 You know they will but you can't top Tulo and Price. True, hopefully they just try to ride their 7 game lead out.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I can't wait for BigBounceyBalls or whatever his name is to start suggesting trade ideas and what prospects we can get back for Price, Tulo, JOey Bats etc Ps see my reply oh and forgot to write, FYSMC ahole!
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Except it hasnt, because we kept our best prospects. I agree, he is just finding a way to be negative. Anyone who is pissed at the trade irrationally loves Norris.

I don't like the trade but we lost Hoffman, Castro and Norris, that's hardly gutting the system. There's good reasons to believe Hoffman isn't even a top 5 Jays prospect and Castro not even a top 10. To me gutting would be a bottom 3 system which the Jays are probably not, Pompey, Alford, Tellez and SRF are still a good prospect core. Losing Norris hurts though, if we're moving pieces for a rental, i would have preferred Sanchez and maybe another overrated guy like Urena
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 coming from a guy who could only excite 400 Tampa fans to get to games. kind of stupid comment. Insult the fan base just after being traded. not so smartz 8:46 AM - 20 Dec 2012
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Blair said they are still looking for a closer
baloojayz Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Except it hasnt, because we kept our best prospects. Yeah that's what I was saying before the season started. All our really good prospects are already on the roster. Pitching prospects have the worst turnout rates and injury rates, so Norris and Hoffman were probably peak value.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Blair said they are still looking for a closer Pompey and Alford for Chapman. I give zero f***s. Allin.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Blair said they are still looking for a closer K-Rod is a fit and I don't even want to imagine what it would take to pry Chapman. An even better fit than K-Rod would be some combination of K-Rod, Fiers and Gomez.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Ok now they're opening up the phone lines. Let's see what the casuals think of this deal.
IBTrini Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 How? We are so good everywhere else that LF is really a minor concern that is instantly alleviated by calling up Dalton. I'd like a Fiers or Kennedy and then I can positively say this team can wreck s***. Carrera has not been diving lately so he is making the catches but he and Colabello and Valencia are not even average LFers in my opinion. When you give away runs or allow hitters to get on base because you either miss the catch or miss the cutoff man you are giving the opposition more chances to succeed. I would have liked to see Pompey called up but something is amiss with this option cuz there is no way the FO cannot see how badly LF has been and not called him up. I don't have an answer as to why they have not but they sure do have some reason for not doing it moreso how crucial games have become since the AS. Anyway, I am waiting to hear what the final cost is and whether he can be signed long-term.
baloojayz Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Pompey and Alford for Chapman. I give zero f***s. Allin. f*** Travis Donaldson Bautista Tulo EE Martin Smoak Pillar Saunders/Collabello/Pompey Price Chapman In a 1 game playoff
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Baseball Central is talking about 40K on Tuesday nights in September. I have argued for years that this just isn't true with "winning sells tickets"...we will now see. I'll say 30K weeknights max, more against the Yankees
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 We'll be signing a free agent starter this offseason anyway. And we'll have the money. We clear 20 for MB, 12 Dickey, 8 from Romero. That's 40 Mil coming off the books.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 It's rather unbelievable that the only major league piece (from the current 25-man) we traded to acquire Tulo and Price is Reyes. We added to the big league club by replacing one SS with a better one and not using Eddy, Bautista, Travis etc.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 What an amazing f***ing trade. We gave up a low upside pitcher in Boyd, a reliever prospect, and Norris who can't throw a strike in AAA...great trade!!!!!!

That's 40 Mil coming off the books. We basically have to. Maybe not Price, but we don't have the high-end depth anymore so we need a top of the rotation arm to pair with Stroman.

I suppose we're in the low 20s now, though.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Lol Boyd is not an mlb pitcher Was everyone temporary blind when he pitched against the BoSox
