So how the f*** does Tulo not play tonight and Hawkins does. Were they not on the same plane lol?

Hawkins always travels with his passport, Tulo probably had to go back to Colorado to pick his up.

Good thing about the trade, he's the only player with a no trade clause, so fans aren't going to be upset when they buy his shirt and they trade him away.

Joey and Edwin aren't happy because they lost their little buddy from back home...Joey Bats cries a river when he doesn't get his way. Well your friend Edwin should be next...it's time for real blue collar players. Nothing against Joey or Edwin's production...but you better be happy about this or your blinding yourself

The double locker: Bautista, Encarnacion, Reyes, Beuhrle and Dickey.

The future double locker: Donaldson, Tulo and Martin.

I like the future MUCH better. I think Tulo is another great move to get away from that Dominican core after 2016.

Farrell on Tulowitzki trade: “It seems now they’ve got six middle of the order bats.”

but zero front end starters

Seems like some people haven't spent the time to see and hear what a smart, well spoken guy Jose Bautista is.

Bats, IMO, is a very smart guy and a great communicator. He's one guy who, when's he's done playing, would make a good coach.

I was at work most of the day....has Gibby commented yet on how he plans to use Hawkins in the BP?

He said Hawkins in the 6th/7th inning. Osuna and Sanchez in 8th/9th

Just read that Bautista and Edwin don't seem thrilled with the deal. Well f*** them. Last year they whined about inactivity at the deadline. How do they expect moves to be made without actually moving anyone?

I think they realize Tulo is a better SS than Reyes, though they aren't going to go out in the media and be like all excited that they traded one of the great buddies in Reyes for Tulo. Reyes was well liked in that clubhouse and I'm sure there are many players like Bautista and EE that are disappointed to see him go, though its a business. I'm sure from a baseball decision standpoint, they understand that they are a better club today than they were yesterday.

They loved how Reyes laughed it up after he would make errors.
