This trade is just a swap of big contracts. Tulo slightly better overall than Reyes. But not enough difference to put them in a playoff position. Basically just a dump of Reyes who was disliked by the fans.

In what world is Tulo a slightly better overall player than Reyes? He's been a 5+ war player his whole career, arguably one of the best SS in the majors and still just 30. This move wasn't about this year, it was about the next several.

That sucks. Ticket prices seemed a bit high for a Tuesday night

 

Last time I checked ticket prices don't increase because the Jays signed a new player

They increased from last night. Ticket prices are whatever the sellers make them.

I doubt they are changing mid season, but I can neither confirm nor deny this.
