Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Gotta admit, losing Hoffman kinda hurts.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I am actually happy Hoffman got traded tbh. This is totally worth it. Now I can openly root against him and prove LTBF and others wrong, yay!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 lol at everyone surprised that a player with actual value is going to Colorado Wilner is dumm
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 This basically confirms what I have felt for the past couple of years. The Blue Jays management is completely focused on offense, although it appears that Troy Tulowitzki is good defensively also. Is it possible that Jose Reyes was so difficult to deal with that they just wanted to get him off the team at any cost? Troy Tulowitzki has seen a lot of injury time, so are people prepared to see Goins playing a lot of games at SS? Maybe Troy Tulowitzki is willing to rest a couple of games a week to extend his career unlike Reyes? If he isn't overplayed then maybe he can be productive for another 4 - 5 years? Tulo is a good enough hitter that he could DH once or twice a week. That should give him some good rest
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I really liked Hoffman and still do. But I doubt he's the difference between a total fleecejob and us getting fleeced. It's still a good trade value wise, but f***, I really hate seeing Hoffman go.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 were still a 500 team after this trade. With no prospect help is the next 2 yrs...
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 This is about the point in the Dickey deal that we learned that the last piece was Syndergaard.
5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 were still a 500 team after this trade. Hoping AA just goes all in for this year and next and if they s*** the bed trade anyone that's not JD/Stroman/Osuna to rebuild the farm
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 With no prospect help is the next 2 yrs... Daniel Norris? Dalton Pompey?
Rafters Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Have to say...I won't miss that feeling I would get every time a ball was hit to SS with Reyes there....
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 f***ing AA, he should have Just build a time machine and fixed things when they actually went wrong. When we drafted Romero over Tolu.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 This is about the point in the Dickey deal that we learned that the last piece was Syndergaard. God you're such a wet blanket lol.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 ITT: Retards complain about trading a struggling TJS recoveree for the hands-down best SS on Earth. Now I've seen it all.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 This is about the point in the Dickey deal that we learned that the last piece was Syndergaard. We don't have a Syndergaard, though.
SomeClevelandFan Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Well, certainly makes things interesting for you Jays fans!! I wonder if the Jays are still interested in trading for Carrasco? With that infield defense he'll only improve compared to what he had the first half of this season in Cleveland.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 This is about the point in the Dickey deal that we learned that the last piece was Syndergaard. lol hahahahahaha Goodbye Norris.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 This is about the point in the Dickey deal that we learned that the last piece was Syndergaard. Haha yeah. I remember after we found out d'Arnaud was going to the Mets, we were confident no other big pieces would be involved.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Well, certainly makes things interesting for you Jays fans!! I wonder if the Jays are still interested in trading for Carrasco? Edwin and Pompey for Carrasco?
bill Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 The main goal of this trade was to get Reyes off this team.
Caper Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Have to say...I won't miss that feeling I would get every time a ball was hit to SS with Reyes there.... That same feeling as when you are watching a horror movie and a minor character goes down the basement alone... at night.... with a small flashlight?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Daniel Norris? Dalton Pompey? Norris is a pile of s*** that is the minor league equivalent to Romero. Can't even get AAA hitters out now while giving up a s*** ton of walks going to need to change his mechanics for a second time and might have a chance to succeed but not for a few years. Pompey will have to be traded for pitching...so....
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 This is about the point in the Dickey deal that we learned that the last piece was Syndergaard. Yup. I remember nobody thinking AA would move both TDA & Syndergaard.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Stroman+ for Carrasco. Do it AA. Can't stop now.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 We don't have a Syndergaard, though. thank god.... would be horrible to have to trade him away again
nmrch Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 We don't have a Syndergaard, though. Is Pompey any less valuable than Syndergaard was at the time. I don't like Castro and Hoffman so i have no complaints but Pompey is another story.
Morrissey Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 We are the new Yankees. Trading all our prospects for veterans but we don't make the playoffs. Yankees haven't done anything like that in years. (Hi Mets Refugees)
