Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Terry @tlheard12 Elliott says the Jays offered Norris, Hoffman and Pompey for Carrasco. There you go folks
baubau Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Terry @tlheard12 Elliott says the Jays offered Norris, Hoffman and Pompey for Carrasco. f***! And it fell at the end? Porque? Should have added Sanchez instead of Norris/Pompey to get er done AA!
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I think we might be in store for a weird homer handshake. http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--WwV7RRlh--/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/18o9qj17w54zwgif.gif
jaysfaithful8 Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Regardless of Pompey's FV, he would still look a lot nicer in LF than Carerra or Colabello at the moment. That being said, I don't mind if he is traded for a pitching upgrade.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Terry @tlheard12 Elliott says the Jays offered Norris, Hoffman and Pompey for Carrasco. That would be a good use of prospect trading
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 good night. wasnt as fun as the Donaldson trade night, but still good Good night And good night to all. Thanks AA
Praxis Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Also, very concerned about this: "Tulowitzki will pick up a $2MM assignment bonus and a full no-trade clause by virtue of being dealt."
nmrch Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Kiley has a 50 FV on Pompey. That's not really anything amazing. Pretty sure Syndergaard had a 60 at the time of the Dickey trade though I could be wrong. Idk, maybe they are equally valued by GMs but I'd be a lot more comfortable with dealing Pompey than Syndergaard from 2 years ago. You are wrong, and morever you were being an ******* when i said Pompey is worth more than a top 50 guy, considering how obvious that statement is. Syndergaard wasn't a can't miss prospect when we traded him, many had Sanchez ahead of him, he was ranked in the 25-50 range, either lower or pretty much where Pompey is right now. And you actually said that Syndergaard was worth more than Pompey and Alford combined.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Just find it funny that everyone adores Donaldson, who seems to be a giant *******, while s***ing all over Reyes' personality, who seems to be an awesome guy. Donaldson is an *******? I love Reyes' personality, I just hate the fact that his defense turned to s*** this year.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Terry @tlheard12 Elliott says the Jays offered Norris, Hoffman and Pompey for Carrasco. Wow
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Has anyone even proven that the newer turf has a negative impact? I dunno, I'm just weary of Tulo's aging in general. I had several multi-page arguments about him last year. Players who had a hard time staying healthy in their 20s aren't guys I want to rely on into their mid 30s.

nmrch Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Is turf proven to cause more injuries? no it hasn't, a quick search on Google Scholar and even just reading a couple of abstracts will make that clear. Turf has a bad reputation but its not based on actual science.

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Terry @tlheard12 Elliott says the Jays offered Norris, Hoffman and Pompey for Carrasco. Weak offer IMO.
bill Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 tulo may be more injury prone than reyes
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Weak offer IMO. Did they ever mention why if fell through...which side back out?
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 tulo may be more injury prone than reyes For sure.
baubau Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I think trading EE makes even more sense because it opens up the DH position to rotate Bautista and Tulo. I would be surprised if EE isn't traded for a pitcher now. But I've been surprised that Navarro is still on this team soo...
Praxis Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Your concern has been noted, thank you. Much appreciated. I am concerned though, given that he is owed $20m for the next 5 years and $14m after that and now has a full no trade clause. Don't get me wrong, I love Tulo and would much rather have him over Reyes, but that's a big financial and injury gamble to take for one player.

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Did they ever mention why if fell through...which side back out? Presumably Cleveland, because they're smart.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I thought we were not getting grass until 2018? I just assumed with Argos gone...but honestly I haven't paid attention.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 EE is not a huge trade chip Packaged with Norris...could be possible
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 EE is not a huge trade chip I think he has alot more value than most of us think. He's still a mid-order power bat with a cheap 2016 option

My observation is that you seem a bit too delicate for the internet, and also that you seem a bit on the crazy side.
