It's very hard to rate baseball managers....especially when we don't know what goes on in the clubhouse and don't know what the players think...so Gibbons might be a good manager or a bad one.......but in his interviews he says nothing...just the usual clichés that anyone could say....I guess that interviewing and quoting managers is a must, but to me it's just a waste of time.

First, I think Gibbons is a bad manager and should be fired. BP management has always been an issue with him and he makes some questionable lineup decisions. Has attitude is too lackadaisical, and we can see the results of that in the attitudes of the players.

Second, firing a manager can be a real boost to a team. Buck Showalter sparked a terrible O's team. Farrell sparked the Bo Sox after Valentine's tyrannical reign (I acknowledge this was at the end of the season)... and that is just our division in the last few years. Then there was the 1989 season when Williams was replaced mid season by Cito and we made the playoffs.

Third, if replacing Gibbons does nothing or the team does worse, then the new incoming president will have to consider replacing AA or gutting the team. I suspect that the team will rebound before this happens but who knows.

Fourth, selling off assets or trading away prospects would be throwing out the baby with the bathwater. We have a couple of bluechips in the minors and some really good contracts in the majors. Yes, we have some that are s*** but so does every team and those are soon going to expire.

Sum: Fire Gibbons before it is too late.

The Royals have maybe the worst manager in baseball and are currently contending for their division. I've yet to hear anyone address this.

Teams w/ talent-Impact difference between a good and bad manager is very little.

Teams w/ average talent-Impact difference is the most noticeable here between a good and bad manager.

Teams w/ little to no talent-Impact difference between a good and bad manager is very little.

No, it runs through all 3 examples. As long as the Manager has the team/clubhouse intact, there's very little impact. 3 wins at most over 162 games, hell, Sparky Anderson and Earl Weaver have said so.

Ah I see. A very carefully constructed ******** narrative.

See what I highlighted up there? Do you get how f***ing stupendously retarded that is? How like astronomically absurd it is? You literally made every other point you might have been making moot with those 4 completely stupefyingly horrendous words.

Who'd have thought that when the Jays are passionately getting in the Orioles' faces, it's all thanks to their dipshit, lazy, lackadaisical manager. Maybe if he showed a little more fire there would be some blood.

Also, wow, I didn't realize grown men were so impressionable.

Who is available?

Gardenhire

I'd go Sandy Alomar. Also if he starts CC in lf instead of Carrera tonight, it should be an instant firing.

Defense doesn't exist in Gibby's world. Carrera has provided more value than CC this season but I doubt anyone in the Jays org would see it that way.

CC has a .453 babip and is only worth 0.2 WAR. The guy is the biggest butcher i have ever seen...seriously the worst.

So f***ing done with it...LOCK PLEASE so I stop looking!(its like a nascar crash...can't look away).... legit criticism and debate is fine but the Gibby and Reyes hate over reaction is actually turning me into liking and defending them more.

Collabello in, fire Gibbons.

You prefer Carrera? Or Valencia vs a righty? This is the most ideal lineup right now.

I prefer Carrera. And i hate Carrera.

Colabello has been our second best hitter. His D is so bad but I think you have to keep him in there until Saunders comes back... then I guess you platoon him with Smoak (even though he doesn't need to be platooned, but Smoak does).

I wouldn't have him on this team period. I'd have Andy Burns up here platooning with Goins.

We don't need more infielders, esp when Travis comes back.

He can play 2b,3b and the corner outfield spots. He's probably a better player to platoon in LF then Valencia as well.

I'm sure he "can" play the OF, just like anybody on our roster, apparently, "can" play the OF.

He can play a competent OF unlike Valencia and CC

I'd like to see that for myself.
