Sixth straight all star games selection for Bautista is there a longer streak?

 

Longest for a Bluejay, not even close in general.

 

Stan the Man was an all-star in every year in his career except 1945

 

Ichiro was a all-star for every year except 2010, and let's not even start with Jeter.

Thats awesome. Honestly Bautista hasn't received enough accolades here. If it wasn;t for that slow start to his career, he'd be a first ballot Hall of famer.

Brock Holt over Pedroia or Betts is pretty funny. There's 33 guys on the team and he's concerned about "versatility".

 

"The one thing that Kelvin did that a lot of these guys didn't do was pitch in Game 7 of the World Series last year," Yost said. "That was kind of the deciding factor for me."

Voted for all 3 and only these 3 Jays for game. They deserve it.

 

But the more our team drifts back to .500 the less I care about this AS Game. And the interest wasn't high to begin with.

Who gets the start? Scherzer seems like a lock, do you go with Archer, Sale, or Keuchel? All 3 deserve consideration.

 

I think the recent strikeout streak should seal it for Sale unless Yost wants to stick it to a division rival.

Yeah, probably Sale though I could see Ol' Neddy going with Keuchel because he's on the best team of the three (by record anyway.) It's the All Star game, we wanna see some whiffs!

Bautista to DL, 4 days of all star break lessen the games missed, with Pompey getting the call as he didn't play tonight. Gives bautistas shoulder time to rest, and Pompey a 2nd chance with less pressure knowing he's only up until Jose is back no matter what happens.

Bautista's not going on the DL man. He opted out of the game to rest his shoulder.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Brian Dozier is an American League All-Star after all.

 

Major League Baseball announced Saturday the Minnesota Twins second baseman was added to the squad by AL manager Ned Yost, replacing Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista. Bautista will skip the All-Star Game to receive treatment on the sore right shoulder he's been playing through for several weeks

still can't believe that a fake game decides home field advantage for the world series.

 

Season W/L record should decide and NOTHING else.
