Gibbons managing a close game. Let's count the blunders and pray for a victory anyway.

Blunder #1: Ryan Goins hits rather than bunts with 1st/2nd, 0 out in the bottom of the 5th.

I respectfully disagree Spanks. Goins moves a runner to third and that Reyes fly ball scores a run. Now we may not get anything.

Now, if it is anyone other than Goins I agree no bunt

Sure, we can say that now, the fielders were right on top of him, good chance for a base hit, with Goins at bat, yeah, I digress.

And if Goins bunts, Carerra scores a run. One of the few times bunting was the right move.

Ummm did you see where they were playing him? Most likely scenario they'd get runner at third or turn a double play.

If he didn't want him bunting...try faking the bunt and double stealing?...the 3rd baseman was pulled in anyways...and we did have speed on the bags. Nope...lets let Goins pop out to Manny.

Shocking that they didn't ask Goins to bunt, but it's not a surprise since they probably think he's a good hitter now because of a few good games.

Same with Copeland

Yet Gibbons hates Smoak despite hitting well.

Incompetence is a frustrating trait.

Counterpoint: Bunting in the 5th inning is dumb as s***, so NOT bunting was the correct move, not a blunder.

Don't forget leaving Copeland in for like 8 straight hits and 7 runs
