Yes, and that's included in the 1.4 number... The point is that TRYING to give up an out there (which is what a bunt in that situation was) reduces the chances of scoring.

 

Not necessarily, because the 1st/2nd, 0 out bunt does not always result in a 3rd/2nd 1 out situation. Even if 10-20% of the time the bunter is safe, that drastically tilts the equation in favor of the bunt.
