Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Predictions for Rangers series? Calling 2-1 or 1-2. I don't think either team will sweep.
MagicMike Verified Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Predictions for Rangers series? Calling 2-1 or 1-2. I don't think either team will sweep. Mark Buehrle, LHP vs Derek Holland, LHP - 50/50 David Price, LHP vs Colby Lewis, RHP - Win Marco Estrada, RHP vs Yovani Gallardo, RHP - 50/50
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I haven't kept track of the Rangers, what makes them good? The only offensive players I can think of off the top of my head are Beltre and Fielder, and the former is having a down year. And what about their BP? I guess their pitching is their best asset

Governator Community Moderator Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Rangers are just excited not to see Adam Lind in our line up.

Maybe I'm wrong. Gallardo might be tough. We'll see.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 You worry too much man. Its a crazy game. Lots can happen. Injuries. Edwin goes on monumental tear....so many things. If we stay reasonably healthy and execute and get a bit of luck we will win the division...the math will take care of itself. I want this I think THIS is happening G-snarls. Great timing! He looks like the ol' E-Rex.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Damn Rangers had to scratch Perez in favour of Gallardo.

Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 today's off day could hurt the team that was clicking on almost all positions. The off day often cools a team down I hope the bat can stay hot but its going to be a tough series
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 232 wRC+ in Aug Edwin still has it And the team can survive better through his slumps now than they used to obviously

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 So the Dodgers had the best odds at winning the World Series for the entire season, until last night: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/odds/index.php?dispgroup=all&standings_sort=wspct FanGraphs projections have them second (11.3%) to the Dodgers (18.6%) but season-to-date stats have them as the #1 by a mile (Cardinals come in at 14.4%, behind the Jays at 20.5%).

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Goins up to 0.7 WAR in 92 games. Article isn't very good though. P/PA isn't useful. He's walking at a 9% rate this year which is a massive improvement for him. If he can keep that up there's definitely some hope for an 80-85 wRC+ bat which is enough with his glove to be a decentish regular. Projections still aren't favorable though. He has 4 games to get to 1.5 WAR...
