LRC1962 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 "Re"inured? His arm was never injured, it was his knee/leg. Not sure how his leg could lead to a arm injury. The pitch starts with the feet and legs. If those are not 100%, the likelihood of arm injury is very high. Look at history of baseball. One of the best pitchers of all time, one of the Dean brothers, blew out his arm because of a broken big toe.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Why are you guys being dicks to a guy that (probably) doesn't know better? For the record, one guy and one single post of slightly dickish tone. Fluffy sure knows how to overreact.

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Using stats like ERA, Save % and WHIP isn't going to create a lot of discussion around here because most of us prefer to use advanced stats that tell a bigger picture. If you've actually got an openness to learning more about the game, feel free to check out the Sabermetrics thread at the top of the forum, and definitely check out http://www.fangraphs.com. FIP, WAR and wRC+ are some good stats to read up on as a beginner to sabermetrics. Just a heads up though, if you aren't willing to learn more about the game and prefer sticking to ancient statistics like ERA, you probably won't have an enjoyable experience here. If that's the case, check out BlueBirdBanter or the Blue Jays sub-reddit for more casual discussions. I agree with all of this.

Jonzo Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 He's got a point. Just see Ricky Romeros knee issues, which started his downfall.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Check out Stroman's twitter page to see pictures of his rehab to get a better idea of how it has gone. It's been 5 months since he injured the knee so what makes anyone think that he's rushing or being rushed by the team to come back this season?

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Stephen A is the biggest hack over at ESPN. He barely know's s*** about basketball and now they have him covering baseball too lol

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 E5 sitting, navvy hitting cleanup We gonna lose.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Navarro's clutch professionalism will be batting 4th today, followed by Lolabello and Smoak. No Edwin, no Martin. Yeah, this one won't be easy.
nextyear Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Today's lineup from Shi Davidi's Twitter: and another showing just the Blue Jays lineup, but including bench players with Pennington, from the Blue Jays twitter:
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 E5 sitting, navvy hitting cleanup We gonna lose. Navarro fourth lol. Sucks EE has been banged up most of the year,we could really use a healthy EE to get rolling.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I understand the Navarro catching but is it really necessary to get Cola in a game
CrackerJack Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Navarro's clutch professionalism will be batting 4th today, followed by Lolabello and Smoak. No Edwin, no Martin. Yeah, this one won't be easy. Edwin will DH whenever he wants to ... hopefully his finger/hand issue will heal with a couple of days off. Martin isn't catching every game the rest of the way. Navarro works well with Estrada, and another lefty stick in Yankee stadium ain't a bad thing.
GreekFatAss Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 So Kawasaki to Buffalo and Pennington activated according to the lineup card.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 EE is banged up. Martin caught yesterday afternoon after a night game on Friday. It is what it is. Team is also missing Travis and Pillar needs to come out of his funk.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 ^ I'm not worried We may never lose again
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 ^ I'm not worried We may never lose again Don't jinx it. Yanks beat Estrada in T.O.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 That was his first start in the rotation, different circumstances imo
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 That was his first start in the rotation, different circumstances imo he's settled in really well. only bad game he's had is the one after he threw way too many pitches in the two games in a row where he carried no hitters late.
