He is going to get an MRI, he said it was the same thing in his shoulder as last time and he'd try to play through it if possible.

Its probably gonna be the same s*** as last time. He'll try to play through the injury for a week or so, then he'll go on the DL when management sees he is struggling.

What about bringing up some speedsters, even though they are not ready in order to replace guys like EE, Smoak or Collabello late in games on the bases. Or late game defense. What other needs to you see that may need to be filled and who would you bring up to fill them.

Based on Travis' reaction, it doesn't sound good. With the amount of time he had off, and then the time he was back playing - to re-injure it like that on a swing is not a good sign. This will probably linger for the remainder of the season unfortunately. Shoulders are tricky..

How would you guys know how serious the injury is? The medical staff should evaluate him and only advocate to DL Travis if they expect him to be out for over a week.

 

Just guessing really. Just thinking from the past a reoccurring injury rarely turns out to be nothing.
