Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 He bunts with Carrera who runs well enough to beat out double plays, so you can probably let him swing. EE comes up with first open so they pitch around him - you hit Martin there and put EE on deck. Thanks Captain Hindsight? Just stop...Martin GIDP, end of story, he didn't get it done.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 You could but they probably wanted to keep the pitcher in the same lineup spot rather than move him into Thole's. No you can't, you can only move players in the line-up during a double switch defensively.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 Sheeeeit, that was underwhelming.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Dickey has a good start, offense disappears
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Can't tell if Zimm is good or if our offense is turning to s***
IronLadle Verified Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Thanks Captain Hindsight? Just stop...Martin GIDP, end of story, he didn't get it done. Did you think Zimmerman would pitch to EE?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 Can't tell if Zimm is good or if our offense is turning to s*** Is this real life?^^^^
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Lol Zaun is Gibby's biggest critic.
theblujay Verified Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Gonna be tough to watch the games this series
King Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Is this real life?^^^^ Same guy who didn't know who Carlos Carrasco was about a month ago.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 No you can't, you can only move players in the line-up during a double switch defensively. You don't have to be on the field to do a double switch. Leaving the pinch hitter in the game and taking someone else out and putting the new pitcher in that lienup spot is a thing that's done.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Imagine we get swept...9 games under!!!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 Did you think Zimmerman would pitch to EE? Go look at my post, go take your walk Eddy? So you'd have kept Goins in? This game is all hindsight, you'd be sucking him off if Martin hit one in the gap, it's stupid.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Blue Jays just dont win these types of games. Better luck tonight. We'll need it.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 You let Carrera hit when he's up 2-0, his speed will generally keep him out of the double play and you are losing 2-0 in the ball game stupid bunt by gibbons. 10/10 MLB managers have Carrera bunt there. Come the f*** on.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Gibbons is not good, he's not terrible but he certainly doesn't help this team.... With this series then Houston coming us Gibby will be fired come Sunday
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Not when you're on offense, sorry. Yes. NL teams do it all the time. It's not like the DH where there are special rules.

And you don't f***ing bunt in the first place
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 No you put in Martin to let him take the walk and then EE can hit. And you don't f***ing bunt in the first place Then there is the possibility of Carrera hitting into a dp

No you can't the double switch is made on defense in which you can switch the order, having a guy PH for the pitcher just leaves that spot for the pitcher next time through, believe me man, you can't do it on offense.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 If Carrerra was a slow runner or a big strikeout candidate i might agree with the bunt. He is neither though.
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 The only mistake this team has made today is pitch to Harper with a base open. RA can't pitch around the plate with a ball he can't control like Zimmermann did to EE, he just needed to IBB him.
