BTS Community Moderator Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I'm confused though. gruber92 said the only thing stopping Goins from being a 2-win player was playing time, but he's been playing full time and is still a replacement-level hack.
LTR Verified Member Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 fml Clearly you've forgotten the 11-game win streak ignited by Kawasaki.... in which he had an OPS of 1.018.... SSS FTW!
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Shame they are afraid to do the same with Joey and get him right also! Two lighter hitting teams coming up on schedule one would think this would be a good as time as any! Plus then EE can DH and we would have more flexibility with our batting line up and the bench too in games! Sigh

JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 At least Kawasaki can maybe boost team morale and make me feel a little better about the Jays underachieving. Tough with all these AAA players in the fold, hopefully Valencia can keep contributing at a similar pace. We'll probably be forced to start him a few more games against RHP until we get healthy.

Um, clearly the fear of not getting consistent playing time is stunting his development. After all the guy with the injured shoulder presents an obvious threat.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Kawasaki/Tolleson is by far the best way to address a 2B injury. Should be a reasonably productive platoon.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 except you know = defence sucks for both those guys @ 2nd, no.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 except you know = defence sucks for both those guys Kawasaki would get the bulk of the start in such a scenario and his defense is at least serviceable at short much less at 2B.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I wonder if Travis has a cracked/broken collarbone. Shoulder inflammation is just more of the downplaying crap this franchise gives when discussion injuries.

Jays should give Adam Linds Mom a call to get some answers on whats going on with his shoulder.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Hey man, I'm getting closer to winning 50 bucks. You better officially find where I agreed to any bet, because although we discussed a few scenarios, nothing was etched in stone. I recall you saying "there is no point because Goins will never get enough Pa's anyway", or something along those lines. You know I'm not a welcher.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 @ 2nd, no. Really? Enjoy watching those two spinning DP's.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I'm surprised they didn't have Travis bat left handed to see if he can play through it.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Oh my Izturis can't be far behind adding to all this hot mess! Get well soon Travis!
