bill Verified Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Jays unable to win tight games. Mark of a bad team
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 Missed the game, had my sons baseball game tonight. Sanchez line looks okay at a glance. Dude had a great amount of control and swinging Ks. No walks until the 7th inning, 8th inning was a mistake to bring him out at 98 pitches
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Figured they wouldn't score much after yesterday. Typical jays.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Obvious reason why we lost is obvious. King had a great GDT yesterday and we somehow bring Fatcoww into the game today to start. Stupid BJMB is stupid BJMB.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Cito ahead of Gibbons, but you are right, ahead of Buck. Even with Johnson. Not even close.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 just can't seem to score well in back to back games.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 f*** I didn't see this game but watched that last inning via pitcher only that last pitch to pillar was over the plate and the batter before none Wtf ! Oh well encouraged by the what Shanchez did tonight other then that last one which wasn't nessary ! Hopefully he keeps improving next game to or can equal this one, I for one will take it!
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Can we fire Gibbons yet? Frustrating loss. At least we get Weaver and his low 80s fastball tomorrow, and then a struggling Shoemaker. We really need a win..

No walks until the 7th inning, 8th inning was a mistake to bring him out at 98 pitches Why would you bring Sanchez back after 98 pitches in the 8th inning in a close game, especially since he's prone to lose it? Then when Hutch is at 98 pitches, they don't even bring him out to pitch the 7th. Ugh.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Not even close. How many mistakes does Gibbons have to make for you to concede that he's not good? He's made so many this season that it's hard to keep track of which one is the worst.

Cito was just terrible, and Farrell made consistently worse decisions than Gibbons makes. He's made some bad decisions this year, but I don't think any more than most managers make. He's been worse with the bullpen this year than last, but he's been given a shittier bullpen to work with, too.

Bautista credits Cito with his turnaround at the plate. Cito was good at some things, bad at others, overall average. Gibbons? He makes mistakes like Navarro as primary DH, and has no redeeming features, none. He's average at some things, bad to terrible at others, overall he suxxx.

However, if there's someone worse out there, you can be sure AA will find him.

I was like 'wtf', would they have sent him out if this had been in the minors? Anyway...offense sucks.

But he basically ruined every rookie he ever got his hands on, and was responsible for such utter brilliance as batting Kevin Millar cleanup.

FYSMC just didn't work tonight...
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 as much as I dislike Gibbons. firing him at this point won't do much other than give the fat greek more time to make bad decisions. AA must go for things to get better.

Agree Cito came close to Gibbons level of idiocy sometimes. As far as rookies go, Hentgen, Green, Delgado, Stewart, and several others all came up while Cito was manager. I'm sure you know Cito was Jays hitting coach for a few years before becoming interim manager.

Brian Tallet is still following Cito around the broom closet in the back hallway of the RC.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 212/199 is good Pytho would suggest closer to 22 wins than 18. 86 wins over a full season. I wonder what genius predicted that
