Obviously a debate question, but off the top of my head, I go with Maddux, Pedro, Johnson. I'm bias though because:

 

1. Those are the guys I watched in my childhood.

2. I named my first born Maddux

 

 

1.56 and 1.63 ERA's in back to back seasons - then 2.20 era's in the middle of the steroid era? unreal.

Edwin strikes out 10% of the time. Starting the runner allows you to stay out of the double play, sends bautista from 1st to 3rd on a single with no outs, scores him on a double. Bautista isn't a burner, but on a straight steal still takes the bag at least 50% of the time and even with a strike out there's a chance he's in scoring position with 2 outs. The catcher still has to make a good throw. You think that if it's a fastball eddie makes contact and if it's a breaking ball bautista steals. The scenario of eddie missing a fastball and having a strike em out throw em out was actually very low odds. It happened, but I think the decision to send the runner was definitely the right one imo.

 

meh..fair pov but he actually Ks more like 15-18% of PAs. He grounds into a much lower % of DPs. 18 all last yr.

 

I can see the move and don't have a huge issue with it but Jose is slow and Donaldson could end it with a swing.

 

full count im guessing FB as he beat Edwin on it earlier in the AB - and as you pointed out that makes success % lower.
