I love the rage over a minor league signing. Some of you need to get laid.

I can see not liking it if you think there's a chance he's going to get a 25-man spot over someone better, but the list of things that have to happen for Wolf to get a rotation spot is long enough that this isn't a concern at all.

So is King's shtick of liking terrible posts the most annoying habit by any poster on the forum?

Thanks King, I am glad to see someone on this forum appreciates the truth

No problem buddy. Some of these guys just don't get it like we do.

Wolf's more for Buffalo depth. Unless he really impresses, he won't see the majors in Toronto. So give it a rest. Lots of teams do this.. not all teams are blessed with Boston's minors depth due to all those prospects. And BTW, after AAA, Boston's farm drops off substantially in pitching prospects.. the Pawtucket team's going to be great, but below that.. it's really questionable.. most of their pitching prospects are in AAA already. Boston, BTW, has Eveland, Paulino, and Boggs, minor league vets, on their team. Yanks have Kyle Davies and Scott Baker for minors vets.. basically, if you look at many team's depth charts, you'll see a lot of minor and major league veterans on there on their farm system.

I was so looking forward to seeing Hutch pitch this year, but it looks like his spot his going to Randy Wolf instead. Flex pack canceled, f***ing AA.

Wolf's Buffalo depth. Hutchison's in the rotation no matter what.

No such thing as a bad minor league deal. I just think it's funny the Jays have signed Santana, Francis, and now Wolf. That's a lot of shots in the dark. Would have been nice to trade for Bolsinger or someone with some upside, but this is the spot we are in.

LHP Randy Wolf, last seen in AAA w #Angels, signed a minor lg deal with Blue Jays, according to brother Jim, an ump. Good luck to a good guy

Woo hoo! We're all in baby!

You've overestimated RealAccountant.

He has a few such traits in the running.

I don't even understand the logic of a guy earning a spot over another guy but still being undeserving. If Wolf hypothetically beat out Norris for the rotation, that would mean the team got another quality starter for a bargain.

If he sucks, as will probably happen, he'll stay in Buffalo, affecting nothing at all.

Well that assumes that the FO will choose the best player for a given spot. Given what we've seen I find this to be a big leap of faith. It's why I wanted no part of Viciedo.

plan the parade

why did we sign players at positions we already had

here we go again with the waiver wire garbage pickups

jays have no depth

AA thinks randy wolf will replace marcus stroman, what a joke. f*** this team

how well did I do? (i skipped reading every page except the last)

Yep, AA's roster management is horrendous, and I expect no different this season. We just have to wait and see what it is. It could be using Castro out of the pen, or going with 8 relievers to save a fringe pitcher with no options left, or going with 3 catchers because he adores Navarro too much to trade him, etc.

I don't expect Wolf to actually start the season in the bigs though, unless more bad things happen to the rotation.

I had presumed he was retired. Wasn't he literally the worst pitcher with in baseball with a reasonable amount of innings about 2 years ago??

You know... I'm starting to think we should've just re-signed Morrow for cheap.

AA thinks all our top prospects will pan out and stay injury free. Didn't need no darn depth.
