Nothing to see here.

Maybe but i am starting to worry about the weighted ball program having an adverse affect on the shoulder. Think about it, Jansen was having shoulder problems and lost a ton of velo. Sean Nolin was on it and was hitting up to 95 in the fall league now he is having shoulder problems. I think Santos, Mcgowan, Delabar were all on it and had there velo drop and minor injuries. Ill be interested to see if Happ can stay healthy this year I believe he was on it last year. Wasn't Cecil even having some shoulder problems last year?

No. So much of this is wrong, they throw overhand for a living. The weighted ball exercises and strengthens their arms, to limit injury and induce velocity, that's it.

I still don't see why we didn't bring back Janssen. I know he fell of a cliff in the 2nd half, but there's a logical explanation for it other than decline (the severe illness and weight loss thing).

I guess AA thinks his decline was more than just his illness, or at least they didn't want to bet money on him. 5 mil would be good value if he returns to being a 1 WAR reliever.

perhaps Casey expressing his "frustration" and "disappointment" at last year's trade deadline wasn't appreciated by the brass?

I would also say Janssen wanting to test free agency may have made him too embarrassed to come back when his market didn't materialize.

Nah, he signed with a sure fire club.

True. He got around what the Jays would have offered, but with a better chance to win, so likely that scenario never played out. Same could be said about the grumbling he did.

s*** happens man, he professionally left a good-bye note to the fans, like The Doc did, I see no tension with Toronto or the fans.

It's spring training. He could've just not been sufficiently warmed up after a long toss session and when he started loosening he was tight.

Is that what your accounting skills tell you?

Shouldn't we wait until he's diagnosed with an injury before panicking? Countless players are sore in spring training. Most don't hit the DL.

Nope. Apparently 70% of the posters on this forum have never followed a full season of baseball before. Everything in spring training matters. Bad performances are very telling, and muscle soreness is a death sentence.

the pen is s*** even if he's healthy. AA has added nothing..when is it time to panic?
