Ehjays Verified Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 John Farrell opens his pre-game conference with the announcement that he has lymphoma. hoping he has a speedy recovery. Even though he ditched us, no-one likes to hear that. Get well soon!
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 That's terrible news, I hope he gets well.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 My dad had that too. He's still around. GL Farrell, tell cancer to suck it
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 f*** Farrell. In Africa the people eats 1 day by week.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 f*** Farrell. In Africa the people eats 1 day by week. Come on Ang, at least make it funny
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Boston also lost Steven Wright for at least a week to a concussion.. leaves them with no starter for Monday vs. Cleveland, likely a bullpen game (they have zero options in Pawtucket.)

Swervin81 Verified Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/trevor-bauer-towards-better-pitching-through-science/ Great read on Bauer and how he's actually trying to really scientifically improve his pitches. It's a real fascinating read.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Lol @ Seattle scoring 10 runs and not a chance in hell of winning.
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Lol @ Seattle scoring 10 runs and not a chance in hell of winning. The Red Sox have scored 37 runs in the last 2 games. That's, like, probably what was considered a good month for the Mets before they added those bats at the deadline.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Seriously, F*** the O's.. Davis with a walk-off HR off Pat Venditte. Angels fans are pissed too.. their lead's down to a 0.5 game in the 2nd wild card, as they are losing badly to the Royals.
admin Site Manager Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 Davis is on a tear, look out.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 man o's walk off again. Look out.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Tomorrow is a BIG game. Getting the Yanks lead back down to half a game while we go to Philly would be a big boost.

That's, like, probably what was considered a good month for the Mets before they added those bats at the deadline. It's like the Mariners have quit on McClendon.. time to fire him. And I expect Rasmussen to be DFAd shortly (16.20 ERA). And how about JBJ? 5 hits, 7 RBIs. Maybe it's time for the Sox to give him regular playing time.. he seems to be finally figuring it out.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 man o's walk off again. Look out. Especially if you're the Angels. One more loss and an O's win and the Angels fall out of the playoff mix.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Especially if you're the Angels. One more loss and an O's win and the Angels fall out of the playoff mix. Who would we rather play in that wild card game? Obviously the goal is the division, but you never know.

Severino's due for a bad outing. He didn't exactly have his best vs. Cleveland.. this will be his 3rd MLB start.

Probably Baltimore (7-5 vs. them), plus their pitching is nowhere near the Angels. The only reason we might want the Angels is because of their lack of offense besides Trout and Pujols.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Davis is like 2013 Davis again.

I think he gave up somewhere around ten hits. Cleveland blew so many chances to run away with the game. Hopefully the bats come alive tomorrow.
