John Farrell opens his pre-game conference with the announcement that he has lymphoma.

hoping he has a speedy recovery. Even though he ditched us, no-one likes to hear that. Get well soon!

Boston also lost Steven Wright for at least a week to a concussion.. leaves them with no starter for Monday vs. Cleveland, likely a bullpen game (they have zero options in Pawtucket.)

Lol @ Seattle scoring 10 runs and not a chance in hell of winning.

The Red Sox have scored 37 runs in the last 2 games. That's, like, probably what was considered a good month for the Mets before they added those bats at the deadline.

Seriously, F*** the O's.. Davis with a walk-off HR off Pat Venditte. Angels fans are pissed too.. their lead's down to a 0.5 game in the 2nd wild card, as they are losing badly to the Royals.

It's like the Mariners have quit on McClendon.. time to fire him. And I expect Rasmussen to be DFAd shortly (16.20 ERA).

And how about JBJ? 5 hits, 7 RBIs. Maybe it's time for the Sox to give him regular playing time.. he seems to be finally figuring it out.

Especially if you're the Angels. One more loss and an O's win and the Angels fall out of the playoff mix.

Who would we rather play in that wild card game?

Obviously the goal is the division, but you never know.

Tomorrow is a BIG game. Getting the Yanks lead back down to half a game while we go to Philly would be a big boost.

Severino's due for a bad outing. He didn't exactly have his best vs. Cleveland.. this will be his 3rd MLB start.

Probably Baltimore (7-5 vs. them), plus their pitching is nowhere near the Angels. The only reason we might want the Angels is because of their lack of offense besides Trout and Pujols.

I think he gave up somewhere around ten hits. Cleveland blew so many chances to run away with the game. Hopefully the bats come alive tomorrow.

OT: Just saw the PGA Championship leaderboard..man Speith is on another level. Dude is in contention in every tournament he plays. Kid could hit Tiger level greatness.

He's just as good as Tiger at the same age.
