It's not the worst idea, actually. GD's posting quality has honestly slipped recently. Very few actual content-rich posts, a slew of one-liners and insults. He may need a breather.

You sound like o2. Take a vacation

Are we all just going to let this BR link slip? I'm disappointed.

don't we lose a pick too? Better come super cheap

s*** forgot about that I don't know what his condition is but with a pick tied to him it may force him to take a pretty team friendly deal.

It's not. Some of their starters pitched last year and not having Zack Wheeler hurt (33% in 2014). Syndergaard is the one who helped establish 2015 as being distinct from 2013-2014 and his 60% is indeed prodigious.

wat - what are you arguing for?

The Mets were threw the most pitches over 95 by far in 2015, so I'm sure the numbers will support it

I believe what he's saying is that the Mets had pretty much the same rotation last year and this year, save for Syndergaard. Even Zack Wheeler, another fireballer didn't move the needle single handedly as much as Thor did.

The point of the tweet is that the major league portion of pitches that are over 95 went up drastically in 2015 over 2013-2014 levels. Syndergaard contributed to that in a big way; the rest of the Mets rotation, less so.

Your second line is correct, of course -- they almost doubled the second place Royals.

Edit: With Syndergaard excluded, MLB threw 8.96% of pitches 95+. So he increased the average by 0.18 percentage points.

Ah got it

How could you forget the Dark Knight though?! And they also had DeGrom for like 50 more IP. Not sure about Matz but I think he throws up there too?

LOL! Seriously?

Wei-Yin Chen seeking 5

years, $100 million

MASN's Roch Kubatko hears Wei-Yin Chen is looking for a five-year, $100

million contract.

Might as well shoot for the moon in this market. Chen produced

a career-best 3.34 ERA, 1.218 WHIP, and 153/41 K/BB ratio across 191 1/3 innings

this past season for the Orioles. Those are better numbers than right-hander

Jeff Samardzija posted in 2015, and he just scored a five-year, $90 million free

agent contract from the Giants. Chen is even a few months younger than

Samardzija, and he's left-handed. St. Louis and Baltimore are known to have

interest.

Are you not sure if he throws over 94?

You kinda answered my comment when you said only 0.18% is his fault, so the answer is no, it's not.

I really wish admin would make me mod for a day so I could ban North and King.

Banning North would certainly be a top 5 moment of my life.

Well he is a Boras client, is he not?

I would bet he doesn't even get $70M. If he's holding out for $100M, he'll probably be the last guy to sign and take a 1 year deal.

*To keep his numbers at career-best marks, it's advised that managers opt to skip starts against RH mashing line ups such as the Toronto Blue Jays.

Oh, I don't think there's any way he'll get it either. Boras might be thinking by setting a price that high that some team might actually bite and offer him a deal around say $70M with that team thinking they got a good deal.

Or you could just click on the soundcloud link within the article considering just like every other article on BR, there's no OC there.
