"Sandy Alderson recently stated he was willing to “overpay” for the right hitter to help his lineup. When he said that, he had one player in mind — Ben Zobrist, The Post has learned.

Alderson had expressed his interest to Oakland officials about Zobrist, but has seen the switch-hitter, at least temporarily, pulled from the market."

LOL, Trevor Bauer had an at-bat today where he impersonated a different Indians hitter's batting stance on every pitch (Aviles, Rayburn, Kipnis) until he drew a walk.

The pitcher was Ang's cousin, to boot.

Walk off bomb by McCann.

All caused because Kevin Cash doesn't read "Pitching and Bullpen Management for Dummies.." He makes Gibbons look good. And now the Rays probably will have to make another trip to Durham to get more arms after this extra-inning affair, as the Rays pen is absolutely taxed, multi-times worse than the Jays. Rays will be below the Red Sox soon at their current pace in the standings.

Apologies if anyone already posted this: I know this is somewhat old news but I just ran across this article:

Go figure. Also this:

Woj pitched averagely in his last start, but Marisnick effectively won the game for the Astros affiliate.

Picked up a second Indians to win the World Series wager. Have them at 25 to 1 from May, and this one is 35 to 1. Considering a 12-1 to win the AL as well. Just $10 wagers directly from Vegas.

Ramon Flores walks off on the Rays.

Yankees will go on the road and give back their lead. Really bothers me that 85 games might win the East and the Rays won't get there.

Orioles lose again, apparently Chris Davis robbed of a game-tying hr in the ninth?

That was the easiest HR-saving catch I've ever seen... had 10 seconds to just stand there and time his jump.
