CrackerJack Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 best for the Jays to have just the minimum one all-star rep (obviously Donaldson) and give all other possible invitees a 4 day break from the festivities ... (just don't go down to the same resort in the Dominican that Casey Janssen went to last year)

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Brock Holt of all people just hit a cycle. Meh, he seems reasonably qualified to hit for the cycle, good speed and some pop in the bat. Good for him.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 There are a LOT of home runs being hit tonight ...
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Lmao McGowan gives up 5 HRs against the Orioles.

baseballsss Verified Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Cherry is a moron but he is right. JD should be dominating third base for the all-star game. Fans are idiots. Who gives a s***. He's going to the All star game no matter what. it's the same s*** every year players that are there that shouldn't be. Atleast with this Royals ******** they may change the system.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 This is great... and he also saved himself from being thrown out by a mile at home:
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 so I don't know if you guys followed the Phillies game yesterday in depth but.. there is some serious clubhouse issues going on 1st off, Chase Utley was pretty pissed off that Francoeur was left in longer than usual. I don't know if he was pissed because Francoeur was already way overworked, or pissed because Francoeur was s*** in his 2nd inning and deserved to be replaced, but either way, he was mad. And then when they tried to contact the bullpen, they had troubles calling them. Turns out the bullpen phone was disconnected. Intentionally? I'd wager that. And then you add the Ken Giles ******** from last week...

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Despite pitching 8 innings of shut out ball, Wei-Yin Chen was demoted. He wasn't too happy about it: http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/06/16/wei-yin-chen-upset-about-demotion-to-high-a-frederick/ Neither is Boras: Possible that they did it to skip his start against the Jays?

I seems pretty obvious that the idea was to skip his start and use his roster spot in the interim. He has an option so it's their prerogative. The only thing they did wrong was make a ******** excuse for the move. If they thought that the ******** excuse would make the demotion less insulting then they miscalculated.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Omar Infante may get voted into All-Star Game, but Royals could still seek upgrade at second base Andy McCullough, JUNE 15, 2015 "The boomerang of unintended consequences could also affect Kansas City’s payroll. If Infante plays in the All-Star Game, it triggers a bonus clause in his contract. He would earn an extra $250,000 in both 2016 and 2017. The extra dollars would only salt the wound created by Infante’s four-year, $30.25 million deal." Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 It looks like TB is throwing all relievers out today vs Washington.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Marcum shelled vs. the Cubs. (2 IP, 6ER, 1BB, 2 HRs given up)
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 It looks like TB is throwing all relievers out today vs Washington. Actually, Andriese is a starter.. but Cash prefers to start Geltz and have Andriese come in after 2 innings to pitch the rest of the game. Considering the Nats issues, it's working..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 As someone who knows the current Sluggerr due to my interest with mascots, I'm glad this case is finally over and the Royals were cleared of wrongdoing: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/royals--mascot-sluggerrr-cleared-of-wrongdoing-in-hot-dog-trial-221951522.html

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 How long until Matt Williams joins Bud Black on the unemployment line, which also has spots reserved for John Farrell, Ben Cherington, Lloyd McClendon and Jack Z? Nats are losing again.. they continue to underperform badly.
