And by messed up HanRam you totally mean making him hit a meager 140 wRC+ with a .221 BABIP right?

His current fWAR surprised me though at -0.1, is his defence really that s*** that it's bringing him down that much?

Yes, he looks like he's not even trying out there.

Thanks!

Now please focus your attention on the post I made previous to this, that you guys conveniently ignored!

So did Escobar's defense fall off a cliff or something?

He's playing 3B regularly for the first time since being with the Braves!

His bat on the other hand, fire!

Shelby "bust" Miller with another solid start tonight 7 IP 3H 0 ER 2BB 8SO

In his last 3 starts he's gone 23IP 12H 6BB 25 SO. Could he finally be turning the corner?

His cutter and curveball both looked improved from the seasons past as does the command of his fastball.

I could see that, or Niese for Soler or Schwarber?

Too much for Niese. I could see Niese to the Cubs for a lesser prospect or two though.

Baez for Niese?

I could see the Cubs into it. Baez is interesting because he suxxxxx, but it's easy to see how a team could still really like him.

Teams in the AL with an "ace":

Mariners - Hernandez

White Sox - Sale

Indians - Kluber

Tigers - Price

Yankees - Pineda / Tanaka (DL)

Angels - Richards

Astros - Keuchel

Athletics - Kazmir / Gray (sort of)

Orioles - Jimenez

Rangers - Darvish (DL)

Rays - Archer

Teams in the AL without an "ace":

Blue Jays

Twins

Red Sox

Royals

You can't be an ace if you're on the DL.

They have an ace in their possession, obviously he's not actively pitching.

Also, Phil Hughes is much better than Ubaldo.

Don't be stupid.

You've got Yankees with Tanaka and Rangers with Darvish as aces on the DL. Yet the Jays do not have an "ace". StroShow?

Stroman is certainly better than at least 3 pitchers you've got listed as "ace".

Fail.

Call me crazy but I'm not willing to give a guy with less than one season under his belt "ace" status.

And a guy like Jimenez who oscillates between terrible seasons and good ones deserves "ace status"?

Durability is a component of acehood.

You really think Ubaldo is a better pitcher right now than Hughes?

Ubaldo looks like an ace this year and his stats reflect that, he's had ace-like seasons before.

Consistency is also something that an ace should qualify for.

Yeah. He's not a true ace, but he's playing the part this year. People are getting hung up over the word ace.

The point is most of the teams have that blockbuster guy, only a few don't.
