P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 26 years old, Status: VETERAN, lol. Wasn't there a guy on the old board that liked him? Was it Grant? A lot of people on the board liked him at one time.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Nestor Molinas 2011 season was really something
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I'll try to see him pitch when Joplin comes to the 'Peg in early June
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Daniel Hudson is making his first start in almost 3 years. He's only expected to throw 50-60 pitches, but so far he's looked nasty. 4 Ks through 2 IP. Sitting 94-95 MPH.

Though I guess you need the help after hearing the unfortunate news about Parker . Sorry man

Sorry man I could afford to roster him for the past year since I wasn't competing anyway lol. It's just a spot start, but he looks great so far.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 You can hear a pin drop at the Royals-Tigers game.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 I really enjoy listening to Schilling on ESPN.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Bit of an oddity I just noticed with the Red Sox re: HanRam. So far this season, he has 10 HRs.. but ZERO doubles. Did he lose his speed, or is he just trying to hit HRs all the time? It's one of the many problems that plague the Red Sox, excluding yesterday's win. They're an all or nothing team.. since they don't hit many XBHs(last in the AL in doubles), they basically have to hope for a ton of walks(#1 in the AL) and clog the bases. Combined with the lousy pitching, it's no wonder they're at the bottom of the AL. And they don't hit lefties.. and guess what? They face two in Oakland(Kazmir, Pomeranz), and two more in Seattle(Happ, Paxton), and of course, King Felix on the weekend. For some reason, I can see them falling further in the standings.. the only reason they won yesterday was Dickey being garbage, and Martin not playing.

Green Monster gives a lot of HR and takes away a lot of doubles.

S33n Verified Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Gibby said the day off was mostly because Bautista is 2/29 lifetime against Ubaldo. edit: Source Barry Davis @SNBarryDavis 49m49 minutes ago Main reason Bautista not playing tonight, according to Gibbons? He's 2-29 lifetime vs Jimenez. Also expedites healing shoulder. #BlueJays
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Green Monster gives a lot of HR and takes away a lot of doubles. Opposite. Green Monster is the best doubles park in the league for RH hitters. Lot's of flyouts turn into doubles.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Opposite. Green Monster is the best doubles park in the league for RH hitters. Lot's of flyouts turn into doubles. i thought this was common sense. from what I remember fenway isn't even a homer friendly park, it's actually below league average. it's the doubles off the wall that turn it into a hitters park
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Opposite. Green Monster is the best doubles park in the league for RH hitters. Lot's of flyouts turn into doubles. Exactly. Someone, possibly Chili Davis, has messed up HanRam, and every other hitter on the Red Sox except for Sandoval. The only good player on that club is Mookie Betts..
