Up to 9th, +2 runs. Joseph +5, Grandal +4.5 lead the way. Framing runs make him #3, behind Dee and Trout. The "being Dee Gordon" penalty makes Dee ineligible, so Martin is #2 behind Fish.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Canelo vs Kirkland good match... Two butchers
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Man, the Astros are fun to watch. A lot of players with pretty unique skill sets. They just need Correa up at short and a couple of reliable starters behind Keuchel and McHugh and they'll be very. very good.

Maybe Estrada excels in his starting role and I don't want to vomit.

And it's good that they are beating some of the good teams. Gives the Jays more of a chance at a WC if the Astros can beat up on some teams in their own division.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Drew Smyly likely done for the season. Rays have had such bad luck with Pitching injuries this year. Torn Labrum is also awful news for Smyly as he looked like a great pitcher. http://www.tampabay.com/sports/baseball/rays/rays-drew-smyly-likely-to-need-season-ending-surgery/2229055

TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 The good news is that it gives Bellatti a chance to pitch...probably not a stretched out starter just yet though.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 So Saunders, among others, could avoid arthritis later on in his life after all, if the below pans out: http://www.wsj.com/articles/new-fixes-for-worn-knees-1430761617
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Shoot, too bad for the Rays. At least Moore should (?) be back soon. I guess the injury bug does hit everyone, even the smart ones.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Just saw the first ever 4-5-4 triple play, wow!

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 This is been some very shoddy 40 man roster management.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 This is been some very shoddy 40 man roster management. Started when they decided to add two prospects in the low minors to the roster rather than give opportunities to the promising relievers already on the 40.

Yep. Osuna has been good, but there was no need to add him to the 40, he could be starting in the minors right now, and West could be in the pen. Castro was just silly.

Could someone in the media please stand up and write about this garbage, including not dl'ing guys that are hurt only to end up placing them on the DL anyway?

Someone here could write a simple Breaking Blue post just going over the chronology of roster moves.

It would be nice if one of the guys that cover the team daily would, but it's clearly above their knowledge level. Oh well, we'll see what happens
