Remember, that pick was posted by Angrioter so, despite that beautiful a##, that could be a tranny.

Might not even be human... That ass has a great ass!

First Saunders with the Sprinkler, then Belisario with his Swimming pool, now Chris Sale fractured his foot UNLOADING something from his truck LOL

Spring training always seems to produce the wackiest injuries.

Ronald Belisario injured himself trying to climb out of a pool, apparently it happened before he signed with the Rays, could be why the deal fell through with the Jays.

No, he signed well before the injury, hence the contract.

They are saying the injury came before and just none checked him. So it's possible Blue Jays did check him and passed after they saw the injury while Rays didn't check on him and therefore signed him.

Possibly, that's dumb on their part.

It's his non throwing shoulder no?

I imagine they do a full body "inspection" but perhaps they only checked his throwing arm?

Otherwise he likely got hurt after the physical with the Rays.

Today's finally the day (unofficially). We finally see some baseball, with the Phillies playing an exhibition vs. the University of Tampa. Of course, the real thing starts Tuesday.

Are we playing anything today too?

Dodgers signs Mike Adams to a minor league deal... now that is something we should have done.

Ya, but he's had a bunch of surgeries/injuries over the past couple of years. Good move for the dodgers though, when he does pitch, he's pretty shut down.

Hitting the team's star player seems like a great way to make an impression on the coaches.

The ball still went 300 feet

Does anyone know a good way to download/compile comprehensive minor league statlines for the past ~20 years? BRef and other places don't seem to have comprehensive tables.

Edit: Using BP's custom reports could work although it would take a while.

You could use Minorleaguecentral.com's leaderboards: http://minorleaguecentral.com/leaderboard

Lots of different tabs with different stats. Use the multileague selector to display 3 leagues at once. At the bottom of the page they link a way to pull the html table the data will be displayed in to a csv file with jquery: http://www.kunalbabre.com/projects/table2CSV.php

I don't know how to use jquery but it's probably not hard to learn how to get that little script to work. It would still be relatively time consuming to pull 20 years worth of data from all the different minor leagues. Someone else probably knows of a better method.

Though be sure to heed the disclaimer at the bottom of minorleaguecentral. They pull their data from the minor league play-by-play information, so some things like batted ball rates are estimated and other stats might not be perfectly accurate.

Yeah, hitting Stanton is a one way ticket out of Miami. Case in point:
