BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Author Posted July 12, 2014 You're fast Some good news....one day reprieve though. Likely RA vs Price Sunday. Hate to wish sick on anyone but Im down with a 48 hr + flu for Pricey.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Avoiding Price for at least one game, especially while limping into tomorrow's game is a nice break. Gives the team a better chance of winning the series. If he's feeling better I wouldn't be surprised if he goes Sunday. One last start in so their FO can showcase him again and talk during the break.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Hopefully he can't go this series.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Confirmed on Price: WDAE 620 AM/95.3 FM @620wdae 13m Joe Maddon says David Price was sent home sick. He will won't start tomorrow. Jake Odorizzi starts tomorrow. Price might go Sunday #Rays
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 We need to aim for a f***ing sweep.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Author Posted July 12, 2014 We need to aim for a f***ing sweep. That would be epic in our house of horrors going into break - one game at a time.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 That would be epic in our house of horrors going into break - one game at a time. Indeed one game at a time. This team needs a few games to go their way and then pray for health.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Would be nice to take advantage of other teams' injuries for once. They're great at taking advantage of ours. Take advantage, pick up some wins and hopefully get hot as guys start coming back from the DL. Hopefully that will bring in some momentum.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 He's scared of our potent lineup I tell ya'!
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 He's scared of our potent lineup I tell ya'! Hopefully he has vicious diahrea. The kind that lasts until the all star break and then goes away.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 He'll wake up Monday refreshed, energized and full of pep but won't be able to take it out on the Jays.
admin Site Manager Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 How do they know he won't be fine tomorrow? Because Jays are finalizing a deal for him, that's why!

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Jake Odorizzi first career no hitter No chance. Odorizzi usually only averages just over 5 innings a start, and the Rays bullpen is a little taxed after last night's game, with Ramos and Balfour likely to be unavailable, and McGee not expected back until Sunday.
sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Good Price is helping his future team Already. Imagine this rotation down the stretch Price Hutch Mark B Dickey Stroman Now that's a damn good above average rotation

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Winning 2 or 3 in Tampa would be big the way we've been limping. Anything that helps is good. David - gets lots of rest over the next few days buddy. You should take tomorrow off for sure. Save it up for the all star game.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 MLB.com: ST. PETERSBURG -- David Price will not start on Saturday against the Blue Jays as scheduled. But before the conspiracy theorist can go too far, the Rays reported that their ace has not been traded, rather he's simply ill. Jake Odorizzi, who was scheduled to start Sunday, will start Saturday instead, and the Rays are hopeful that Price will be well enough to start Sunday in the finale before the All-Star break. If Price does not pitch at all in the series, it will be a blow to the Rays, since he's done particularly well against the Blue Jays. He is 14-2 with a 2.45 ERA in 18 career starts against Toronto and 7-2 with a 1.62 ERA in 10 starts at home.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Author Posted July 12, 2014 We need to aim for a f***ing sweep. We aimed and we misfired today big time. Got to bounce back tomorrow. 2/3 ain't bad!
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2014 Author Posted July 13, 2014 If he can't pitch tomorrow, I doubt he can pitch this series. ....You were saying? (and wishing)

And gets almost a week off. Very smart move by him.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Is there any other pitcher who owns us this badly??
