Jays: Happ didn't get a decision Wednesday, allowing four runs in seven innings of a 7-4 victory over Milwaukee six days after collecting a season-high eight strikeouts in 7 2-3 of a 7-0 win over the White Sox. The Jays hit .180 and went 0 for 20 with runners in scoring position while being outscored 14-4 during a four-game series sweep at Oakland, losing the finale 4-2 on Sunday. That was enough for the Blue Jays to go from leading the division by one game on Baltimore to trailing the Orioles by two. Bautista is still trying to shake off the effects of a recent hamstring injury, and is 5 for 24 in six games since returning. Angels: Weaver wasn't sharp while emerging with a 7-5 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday, giving up five runs and nine hits - two homers - in 5.2 innings. He is 9-2 with a 3.48 ERA in 11 career starts against Toronto, winning four in a row at home behind a 1.99 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 31.2 innings. LA are batting .295 with 22 homers and 6.1 runs per game during a 13-3 stretch. The Angels hit a whopping .353 with six homers and 29 runs while sweeping a four-game series from Houston, capping it with a 6-1 win Sunday behind Richards' 11 strikeouts in 7 1-3 innings. Albert Pujols went 9 for 16 with two homers and seven RBIs in that series after hitting .235 with one home run over the previous 13 games. With a win Monday, the Angels would have an all-time franchise record of 4272-4272-3. It would be the first time since 1961, when they were 1-1, that the Angels were at .500. sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Naturally O's are winning vs Strasburg and Tillman is pitching a gem (wtf!!) Its a long season
bzapple Verified Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Fatcow please tell us everything will be alright.
Jonzo Verified Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I don't mean to be a douche but, this is the game we need most. Because of this, it is the game where Happ will blow up.
Nox Verified Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 JA - Pro tip: Don't throw that Fish guy any fastballs low in the zone.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Bold prediction: We're going to destroy Jered Weaver! Go Jays!
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 P.S. These GDT's have become a cesspool for Troglodytes! I said GOOD DAY!!! Painful - We are 2 games out with a horrendous rash of injuries following an unsustainable streak of winning baseball. I don't think this team will fold. Im in favour of some bold moves but not in panic.

If that's not folding I'm not even sure what is. Plus, every move AA does seems like a panic move... now Gibbons jumping in on the panicing.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Cheering for Nats in bottom of the 9th. Tied with O's.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 To be honest, I'm so much more interested in what the Jays are going to do on the transactions front than I am in the games right now. I don't see how this lineup can compete with the Angels juggernaut offense, no other team comes close to that lineup right now. Sure, Trout is carrying a lot of that himself, but that doesn't change the fact that he is doing it. The Jays have scored something like 4 runs in the last 40 or so innings. With how hot the Angels and Rays are right now, it'll take a minor miracle to win anything before the All-Star break.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 If everyone plays like they should, this lineup isn't THAT bad, we had way worse last week Not a contending lineup, but lets see what they can do tonight

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Good start Reyes. Opposition's best friend.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I think I might be making a bold statement here, but Jered Weaver knows how to pitch.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Good evening guys. Finally get to watch a game tonight. Missed the final three against the a's Lucky you. Seriously!
sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 sigh..............sigh. Hard to get excited right now
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 We can win this...maybe
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 No wonder Reyes was willing to give up salary to sign Santana. He knew he would suck and felt guilty.
Convo Verified Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 /Uninstall Reyes /Reinstall AnybodyElse
