Bunting was clearly the right move there. Rasmus is hitting .189 vs LH this year (aka pitcher territory).

 

While I don't trust the SSS he actually has been hitting for 91 wRC+, and he's actually walked more against lefties than he has against righties. That doesn't mean I think he can suddenly stand a chance against LHP but he's still a pretty good hitter and you simply don't give away outs in a position of strength (leading the game).
