Lane is a sack of s***!

Yep. It was comical listening to Thorne compliment the Os pitchers (I watch the other team's broadcasts every game) on working inside when not one of those were strikes for Buehrle or Delabar all night.

Is anyone really shocked that a 74-win team is starting to play like a 74-win team again after a month of good bounces? I said it all winter and I'll say it again: as long as AA, Beeston, and Gibbons are in charge, this team is going nowhere.

Lol Guys. We're in first place.....it's better then anyone expected. Please shut the f*** up and support this team.

First place now..I am pretty worried

We have Dickey going tmr, and you never know what to expect with him

It's the cluster luck regressing. We're not an elite team, but we're a very good one. The reactions of some of you are unbearable.

We had the 3rd worst xFIP in baseball before the Cardinals series. ( we still have the 3rd worst). The nice thing is even though we may have gotten lucky somewhat the division isn't great and we can add talent in July. We still got this.....positive vibes.

I bet you weren't saying this, or even f***ing thinking it just a week ago .........

If the Jays go 15-13 between now and the AS break, we'll be in a great position. I don't expect the dead bats to be dead for long.

Outlook does not look good for that.

I've always supported the team and anyone who follows this team every year knows that most years they start out really hot get your hopes up but crash back down to earth when they play in the division, I expect them to lose before I even turn the game on on and I shouldn't be like that but I just know them to well.

you can't just make a statement like that without any kind of back up. You would need to point out some form of progress that the offense is making in order for myself to look at this in your perspective. The Jays offense looks completely lost right now. When the Jays went on their multiple winning streaks, not only were the bats working but luck was constantly falling in our lap, right now we aren't getting any luck at all. When you're not getting luck then the bats need to pick it up even more, and they're not. The bats are doing terrible, and without any luck either then you get a 2-5 record in the last 7.

We aren't talking about earlier in the season when Santos would come out and blow a sure win, this is a team losing in the first inning. There's a huge difference.

Just because we haven't hit for what? The last 7 games. Doesn't mean we ignore the other 61 games or so that we played. Every stat shows that this offense is elite. We're first in the entire mlb in wRC+ at 112. Second in wOBA 338. Fourth in fWAR 12.4. Any stat you want to pull shows that the lineup is very good. 7 games means absolute s*** all.

We need to add pitching. That was due for some regression and we're starting to see it a little bit. Morrow ( i know i know) should help in July and Santos is another piece for the Bullpen. We need to add one front of the rotation guy and this team is just going to be fine given we stay relatively healthy.

haven't watched all the games recently but from what I've seen, lineup is seeing a bunch more breaking balls & the lineup overall is swinging at out of the strike zone pitches...I am not seeing that willingness to lay off/take a walk...

without being able to pinpoint exactly what change pitchers/teams have recently made, my sense is it is now adjustment time for the overall lineup...work counts, take balls, take walks, etc...

overall, pitching has been decent & kept teams in the game...offence can't expect starters to always keep the game 0-0 or 1-0/2-0...

G-snarls, impressed by the spurs (obviously)...such a high level of play and deep roster...would love to see Duncan win & play another year or two...looks great out there...

This game, the ump was calling balls strikes. As much as the Jays players wanted to take pitches, they just couldnt. It is quite amazing how umping can impact the whole game. I just hope we stay patient especially with Ubaldo tonight
