Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 God damnit, noooooooooooooooo After that (Latz, Papierski out) jays will announce the sign of Hoffman, Pentecost, Quinn Carpenter and Houck. maybe tons of money to Lugbauer, pop or Murphy
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I miss the old system. I want these guys in the org. Pissed about losing players. You just see how many guys who were drafted by the Blue Jays out of high school and are high picks 3 years later. Its frustrating. Good scouting should be rewarded. Kris Bryant?
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Lemont High School won the state championship (Latz + Papi) Lemont won the 3A State Championship, yep. Illinois Lutheran won the 1A. Lemont walked off in dramatic fashion. Neither team scored until the 7th; they was down 1-0 going into the inning, with Griffin ace Ben McElwee still on the mound. Then lineout, groundout, single, E4, wild pitch, walk... walk-off two-run single by Ryan Folliard. Wow.  Latz had a CGSO with 11 K, 3 BB, 105 pitches. On the season he had 103 K, 9 BB in 55.1 IP (two ER lol). http://www.mysuburbanlife.com/_internal/cimg!0/6ngcafimj0c8vhupsf4ynvk7gqvxtvr
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Lets go Jays. Time to get the first rounders into camp and developing. Hoffman needs the professional oversight on his TJ recovery
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Â What an epic failure that would be, if they didn't sign.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Hoffman and Pentecost will sign. They would be incredibly dumb not too. I don't care how long it takes to get Hoffman since he's injured but let's get Pentecost to Vancouver.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 AA is going to fail to sign our first-round picks AGAIN, but we're having a good start to the season, so the media won't hold his feet to the fire. Pathetic.

Pathetic. This is the kind of stupid ******** that incites other people and begins arguments. There's no way you're actually dumb enough to believe what you just wrote there. Everyone knows you have a wet willy for AA, get the hell over it already.

It's that obvious, huh? lol A frightening number of Jays fans are actually worried about our ability to sign Hoffman and Pentecost.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 I think, Hoffman and Pentecost already have verbal agreements; The Jays are working with the "after 10" ----> Houck, Heidt, Quinn Carpenter, Murphy  f*** you Lugbauer, Latz, Papierski, Pop, Weisenberg

It's that obvious, huh? lol A frightening number of Jays fans are actually worried about our ability to sign Hoffman and Pentecost. Really not sure why. Hoffman has minimal leverage since his injury basically prevents him from even throwing before next year's draft, so his draft position won't improve by waiting, while Pentecost isn't gong to suddenly vault into top 5 material next year either It's simple. The Jays aren't going to announce these guys bonuses until the last minute because they don't want latz's and Houck's agents to know how much money the jays have to sign their clients. If they did, they'd ask for all of it, and AA probably still wants to sign more of his picks. Hell, chances are they'll only get one of Houck or Latz.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Whoever. You don't show the kids your chequebook balance.

Pulk_Pull Verified Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Ang hit it on the head (albeit repeated 10 times in this thread). People need to relax... we still have a month to go. If we enter into the second week of July with no word, then you can start to wonder.  Otherwise, focus on the Round 10+ guys... that's where the action will be.
RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Hoffman will sign I'm sure, there just is ZERO rush to get him in the org as he can't pitch anyway. Might as well focus on the other guys. Pentecost not signing would be a disaster, and he has all the leverage since the pick is unprotected and he can go back to school.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Pick is protected for one more year Wrong bro. Pick is protected for just one year. Sign Pentecost or lose the pick

RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Still, not signing Pentecost would suck. Turner signed BTW, had a walk, a hit, and 2 runs in his debut.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Turner BTW is who? and where?
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Thanks that turne,Guess the title of the thread said post non related bluejays crap here. LOL
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Â This is why I like Terry Ryan, he doesn't care for soft tossing pitchability guys. I hope he gets well soon. That previous gm was bad
RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Trea Turner , speedy shortstop for the Padres. We were heavily "in" on him with AA even going to a few of his games. Passed on him to take Pentecost/Hoffman. I really think the reported debate came down to Pentecost and Turner at #11. I liked Turner and think he could be the 2014 version "of guy the Jays regret they passed on". I do hope I'm wrong and Pentecost becomes Joe Mauer.
