jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 3rd worst xFIP in MLB for the Bluejays Pitchers. We can't keep running out Liam and JA......upgrades please AA
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Somehow that was only the 3rd hit for the Rays
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Dude, you're allowed to acknowledge other team's good players. Molina is very valuable, even if he can't hit. No amount of pitch framing is going to make up for a .136 wOBA
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 We have Kratz... I dont want Molina back I agree but Kratz is never behind the plate
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 lol @ Molina and clog used in the same sentence
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Dude, you're allowed to acknowledge other team's good players. Molina is very valuable, even if he can't hit. Except he isnt really a good player. He is great at framing... thats it. I would take Hannigan over Molina any day.
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 LoL i thought that was gone for sure
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 No amount of pitch framing is going to make up for a .136 wOBA JFaS would probably disagree with that.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 No amount of pitch framing is going to make up for a .136 wOBA We had Molina. I remember very clearly not wanting us to have Molina anymore. I wouldn't mind if we picked up a 3rd Molina brother, since the last one is the best one...
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Except he isnt really a good player. He is great at framing... thats it. I would take Hannigan over Molina any day. I'm not saying he's the best in the business, but his framing probably makes him at least worth 2-3 WAR I would think.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 We had Molina. I remember very clearly not wanting us to have Molina anymore. I wouldn't mind if we picked up a 3rd Molina brother, since the last one is the best one... Maybe we can have him at a family discount? Bad joke I know.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 The gap between Hendricks and Jenkins is minimal.

I wouldn't mind if we picked up a 3rd Molina brother, since the last one is the best one... I also remember having a great pitching staff of Cecil, Romero, Marcum, and Morrow when we had Molina Just saying. We had four solid starters when we had Molina
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Hendricks through 5....phew Its amazing how he has survived, and prob earned himself another start
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 JFaS would probably disagree with that. Nah, not even his +3 win framing makes up for that. If my quick mental math is correct.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 we have been so f***ing lucky all game, gotta capitalize
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Hendriks getting his s*** together. 5 K's and no walks through 5 is a promising sign. Ugly GB rate though.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 I'm not saying he's the best in the business, but his framing probably makes him at least worth 2-3 WAR I would think. Pitch framing is not considered for the actual stat WAR, but I get your drift... I doubt it's worth that much. It's maybe 2-3 WAN (WinsAboveNavarro, so I don't have to explain the joke later...) but that's because Navarro is very far below replacement level as a framer...
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Hendricks through 5....phew Who would've thought; this guy must have brought an Australian Jackrabbit's foot with him.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Its amazing how he has survived, and prob earned himself another start i don't think gibby is retarded enough to realize 20+ deep fly balls is a promising sign from a pitcher, regardless of ERA
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 What a steal Nelson Cruz has been for the O's.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Can we squeeze one more inning out of Hendricks?
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Its amazing how he has survived, and prob earned himself another start Its SCARY but he is battling...props for that. not the first pitcher to have his D bail him out.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Nah, not even his +3 win framing makes up for that. If my quick mental math is correct. You mean even with the framing added in he still wouldn't amount to 1-2 WAR? Damn.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Jose Molina -.8 WAR in baseball Tied for 3rd least valuable player in the game.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 JFaS would probably disagree with that. Why would I care if JFaS disagreed with that?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Pitch framing is not considered for the actual stat WAR, but I get your drift... I doubt it's worth that much. It's maybe 2-3 WAN (WinsAboveNavarro, so I don't have to explain the joke later...) but that's because Navarro is very far below replacement level as a framer... I might be overstating his abilities. It'd be nice to have a good framing catcher who plays solid D and can also hit...
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
