lmao, was this made public?

That was the incident that led to the Jays banning reporters from the clubhouse (the x'd out pictures in September 2016). It never went public but it was Griffin and reported biased against people of colour. Honestly I don't trust anything he writes though. He's been caught in so many lies in his reporting career.

What are those?

Way back when before he got some award from Baseball Canada (HOF or something like that), we would go out for a beer near the Big A whenever he was in town. I didn't recall him being as crusty as he got in recent years. I don't think the award got to his head or anything like that but he's definitely not the same guy as 5-7 years ago

The Star's smear of the Jays for being racist with player photos marked, dictating what the race was for each roster member was way way before 2016....

that was the Ricciardi years...

Lol literally in his article says players will look around talking to the media to make sure Stroman isn't around as to not upset him. I'd almost guarantee that's Travis.

Stroman is a great player but my god is annoying as f***.

Is he, though? I don't think he's great enough to warrant having to deal with his juvenile ********.

I can't wait until he's gone. Seriously. I mean, you have Curtis Granderson in that clubhouse, one of the classiest players in the game and you can't go to him for advice on dealing with your tiny dick syndrome?

Who was the one who wrote "White Jays" and implied that Ricciardi would not have liked Jackie Robinson? Or am I completely hallucinating that?

That was the Toronto Star in June-July 2003. Geoff Baker was the genius behind that trash.

any luck in finding it on the Toronto Star site?

still doesn't excuse Stro for that rant, just say it was a bad day and semi-apologize and keep your cool, please??

Too big of an ego to apologize. If he does, it's cause the Jays forced him to. And really, is too late now. That's a next day kind of thing.

any means necessary, any acknowledgement it wasn't the wisest thing to do would be fine, pretty well entirely for his own sake and future.

This isn't like George Bell screaming from the podium that he was going to keeeel John Robertson.

No I was thinking of the X out incident. That was an accusation by the players that certain reporters had it out for the Hispanic and black players

What's up with Stroman? Over rated. 2-7 from your ace is bad. Trade him or ride the Rickey Romero train until the last station.

2-7?

There's a lot to complain about with Stroman, but wins and losses? You're better than that.

He's simply too short to be a starter. His career always projected as a reliever, at best. Should have traded him a couple years ago while his value was high.

Fair enough, WHIP of one and a half and era of nearly 6 in 12 starts.
