How can you possibly disagree with that?

Because it's horribly untrue? How does a guy with a high baseball IQ try to steal third with one out down by 5 and a runner on first behind you? And then run himself out of scoring position on a ground ball right in front of him?

Most people would tell you, before this game happened, that Bau has a high baseball IQ. Not on bases, but in the field and at the plate.

Gose above average arm?

Not from what he's done in the past in center...

Nice job by Lawrie recognizing the close play and leaving it and Navarro picking up that ball.

He has a good arm, not a high baseball IQ. He's patient at the plate because he can only hit balls either right over the heart, or middle in, anything else he rolls over for easy outs. A guy with a high baseball IQ would learn how to go the other way and actually make himself a lethal hitter, rather than just a dangerous mistake hitter - which admittedly he is very very good at

Gose has a rocket for an arm, just not so accurate all the time.

If I remember right, a lot of Gose's throwing problems were in regards to hitting the mound with the throw. He may simply be more suited to left or right field where he doesn't have to deal with that.

In 2011 he did start going the other way a lot more. But when you're already one of the best hitters in the game why would you want to totally change your approach?

But let's just say he can be an intelligent guy, maybe not intelligent baseball-wise sometimes.

Also a tendency to air mail the cutoff man.

Maybe but he can adjust. His insane range is obviously not taken full advantage of if he plays LF.

Francisco! Announcer: 'You can't take this guy out of the lineup right now.' Like we have a f***ing choice.

When Lind comes back there's literally no spot for him.
