BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I think just missing my Navarro hr by that much hurts me the most tonight! Friggin last straw,Goodnight ya'll !
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Janssen is crafty as f*** and still has fantastic peripherals. I literally still cannot believe the love Santos gets on here. He's uber-talented yes but Jesus the guy has zero ability to THROW STRIKES. Throwing strikes is kind of important.... Give me a guy who can pound the zone repeatedly with less movement over a guy with a "wipe out" slider who can only control the f***ing thing 30% of the time. Casey Janssen is a better baseball player than Sergio Santos. What gets me is that Gibbons thinks Santos is Mariano Rivera even after multiple meltdowns.
Jays Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 flafson with now 5 consecutive correct picks in the HRC lol The guy knows his baseball.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Okc Memphis overtime again. Unreal. Watch it, the anti basketball mob is circling!
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I really, really hope not. Sanchez + GPS maybe
letsgobjs Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I'm not really worried about the bullpen, I just don't understand why Rogers continues to get opportunities to pitch.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Stroman replaces Dustin and Nolin replaces Morrow when we find out he is injured and will be out for the year.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 The fat bastard behind the plate lost this one . Passed ball, error, and fastballs to Perez cause he was to lazy to block a ball in the dirt. What a disaster. If Thole doesn't start the next couple of games then Gibby must be blind
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I fully expect Yordano to shred this line up apart.

If Thole doesn't start the next couple of games then Gibby must be blind This game's on the bullpen bro. Delabar's velocity is down since last August and the pitch was supposed to be outside. His pitches are ending up running away from LHH and into RHH. Gibbons isn't helping his high-leverage relievers either by waiting for starters to get into trouble before yanking them. McGowan had gone 6, Gibbons should've been happy with that and started the inning with Loup to face Gordon and Perez with a 3-run lead. The same sort of thing happened on Sunday against the Red Sox, Cecil had to come in with guys on 2nd and 3rd and 1 out because Gibbons stuck with Dickey too long. Anyway....
bendera3 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 This is typical. I leave Gameday while we're up by a few runs and come back and both teams score almost 10 runs apiece. And we lose.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I think i should just bet on the opposite team to win on the live spread when the jays go up by 3 runs. I could have been rich already this year.
Bluejays0988 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Thankfully I didn't watch this game, would have been very depressing to watch the bullpen blow up again. I agree with ElNik2013 that Gibbons isn't helping out the relief pitchers is only bringing them in when a starter has gotten himself into trouble.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Remember not too long ago we had the best farm. Sigh.... And last year the bullpen was dependable

McGowan pitched his best inning in the 6th. He should have been sent out in the 7th, and probably should not have been pulled, but don't let the bullpen off the hook when a guy comes in with a 3 run lead and a runner at second. Even if you concede the guy at second you're still up 2. That wasn't a super stressful situation to come into. The bullpen blew it.
Smedley Butler Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Honestly, I've watched maybe 10 mins of Jays ball this season so far. I regret nothing. You're all insane.
skinny123 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 It's either the starters or the bullpen, either way, we're screwed.
Rotator Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Definitely looking forward to Hutch vs Yordano tomorrow. i think there will be a few k's for both teams tonight. Yordano is really incredible to watch, i have seen most of his starts this year, if his changeup is painting the corner Jays are in trouble for sure.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
