Funny how when Bucholz did it Red Sox nation and their media puppets were aghast at the accusations, and the Bucholz thing IMO was much more egregious.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 10 game suspension And hopefully the start of this being actually enforced. It's getting pretty blatant in the past 2 seasons.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 This is all simply not true. Pine tar is made in the USA, its not foreign. That's a good point lol. He made it incredibly obvious it looked like a vampire bit him.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Man it pissed me off that the Yankees weren't doing a lot to seem like the evil empire that they really are. Now this gives me another reason to hate them! f*** off Yankee scums!!
GoldBull Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Pineda is such a moron to do it again and make it that obvious. I'm just interested to see if this opens a big can of worms where we see a whole lot more of these challenges.
flafson Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 So he had a rough first inning and came to the 2nd inning with pine tar on his neck? That seems so dumb.
Errorcebia Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 People from Boston are actually retarded. Just watch them try to drive/park a car.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 it's a stupid rule...but even more stupid of Pineda to make it so obvious. I guarantee that Blue Jays pitchers have done it, cause 95% of them do it. They just don't think "it's dark, my skin is dark, I'm gold"

You should not be able to go out on the mound with a jar of foreign substance on your body..... for the purpose of manipulating the ball.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 It seems kind of wrong that batters can put substances and stuff on the bat to grip it better, but pitchers aren't allowed to do anything to make their hands a little more tacky to grip the ball better. Put something out beside the rosin bag that will make the hands a little tacky but won't transfer to the ball, and eliminate the nonsense once and for all. If the ump suspects something, give him the ability to call for the ball once in a while and make sure it isn't being loaded up.

If the ump suspects something, give him the ability to call for the ball once in a while and make sure it isn't being loaded up. It doesn't alter performance, though. The swing is the same. I think doctoring the ball should be stopped considering the run environment nowadays, except for Aaron Harang because he needs to lead my PL team to greatness.
The_DH Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Hey if all pitchers do it and we're stopped all that happens is More runs will be scored. If there's too many runs and the games become drawn out and boring then they can raise the mound.

You can't allow players to put anything on themselves because you run into the risk that they're using something to manipulate the ball instead of gripping it better
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Pretty sure this would not have happened if he had his hat on correctly. Looks too sketchy with the straight bill sideways cap.
