Since this guy thinks more about a pitch than researchers have thought of possible cures for cancer...Lets list out some of his excuses for "The Pitch" not working.

1. The Pitch is better with the roof closed

2. The Pitch is better with the roof open

3. Wind

4. Not enough Wind

5. It was too cold outside

...

any others? This will go down as the worst trade of AA's tenure.

RA Dickey is like the Three Bears of starting pitching. It's too cold, too hot, too windy, roof open, roof closed: It's never just right.

This thread is dumn

Dickey took you to the top. He is the source of your power but ........ Let's be honest, the guy sucks!!

Also, he blamed that horrible start against the Red Sox last year on a broken fingernail. And he uses the sore back excuse all the time.

f***ing brutal. Zero confidence in this guy. You can't be a contending team with this guy leading your rotation. It could be the 6th inning and he's throwing a no hitter, and I would be nervous waiting for him to implode and give up five. f***ing joke.

Good thread. Dickey's excuses are starting to piss me off.

He blamed his bad Opening Day performance on a dead arm.

Dead arm? On Opening Day? WTF?

Hack to be sure. He's actually discribing Goldie Locks not the three bears. I think Goldie Locks will be my new nickname for him.

Someone should make a list of all his excuses since joining the Jays.

That's what this thread is for! OP should update the first post.

Real ones with references, make it professional lol. Guy is brutal. If he didn't have the track record he would have been gone long ago.

In retrospect it all seems obvious. Knuckleballers that succeed throwing 65 to 70 mph will age wonderfully because when they are 45 they can still throw f***ing 65.

Knuckleballers that succeed throwing an 84 mph fastball with a hard (high 70s) knuckle may not age as well. They may in fact age like a normal pitcher. What happens when Dickey loses a few mph?? Well he has apparently lost a bit and it's been ugly.

Will Dickey be invulnerable to injury?? Or is he actually going to have a normal injury profile becaue he is closer to max effort then other knucklers?

I didn't think of this December 2012. In retrospect it seems obvious Dickey is not going to age like other knucklers have. I can only see it in retrospect. But a f***ing superscout should see it December 2012. If they can't then by definition they are not a superscout.

Logically one has to conclude we don't have any superscouts, just old drunk cronies.

Good lord people, he's def struggling right now but to say he sucks is a little strong.

the jays don't have the luxury of having a pitcher be complete s*** for half a year like last year
