I'd also move the recently acquired Taylor Hall and Erik Gustafsson.

I'm not the best at fantasy hockey, so I would love to get some keeper advice from you guys.

 

I am in 12 team 'keep 7' fantasy hockey league. G, A, PPP, SOG, BLK, HITS, GAA, SV%, W.

Jack Eichel

 

I give:

 

Aleksander Barkov (would be a keeper)

Dougie Hamilton (wouldn't be a keeper)

Cam Atkinson (wouldn't be a keeper)

 

Do you think that's a good buy low on Eichel/sell high on Barkov? Am I paying too much? I am not in contention this year and would not be keeping Hamilton or Atkinson beyond this season

In a 12 team keep 7 league you are always going to want to consolidate lesser pieces into elite keeper pieces so I think Hamilton and Atkinson are irrelevant if you are not competing.

 

But I am actually not sure if Eichel is better than Barkov. Barkov has been a point per game guy for a few years now and Eichel is on s***** team and has been a +/- liability. It might depend on the specific league stats.

Currently planning to keep Kucherov, Barkov, Petterson, Laine, Guentzel and then 2 goalies between Binnington/Jarry/Samsonov.

 

Dougie is pretty sweet though so I might keep him over one of the goalies (it's just hard to get goalies)

Yeah. Hits, blocks and shots. I guess that makes Tkachuk quite good and Pettersson not a full category contributor.

Honestly, I think Tkachuk is a top 5 dynasty player in hits leagues. How will Lafrieniere and Stutzle compare over their careers? I am not sure how big the gap will be but I am leaning toward the Tkachuk side.

My totally uneducated opinion is that Pettersson and Lafreniere are the two best dynasty players in the trade long-term.
