John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Lineup should really be vs.R: Bautista Lind Melky Encarnacion Rasmus Lawrie Navarro s*** s*** and vs L. Bautstia Melky Navarro Encarnacion Lawrie Kratz Rasmus s*** s*** To optimize it No matter the logic or math reasoning or any argument you could come up with, absolutely nobody would have Bautista lead off ... He needs to get dem RBIs!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 The only useful thing Gose can do is run and catch balls, is that worth him taking a spot? He can't hit. Would you like a lineup with Goins/Gose in it, those are for sure 2 guaranteed outs. Just playing devils advocate, but what is Colby right now?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I assume you meant for Lind and not for Lawrie? That's what I assumed. But unless Davis had stolen second before that pitch he would have been out anyway.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Goins is on 0-2 before start each AB

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Speaking of which, go to the blog forum, I want to run something by you.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Cecil/Santos has to be baseball's variation of parking the bus
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Just playing devils advocate, but what is Colby right now? turrible, but with a MLB track record of decency
xposbrad Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Just playing devils advocate, but what is Colby right now? Colby has pop. If he hits like he did in 2012, swinging at curves/sinkers out of the plate, then he's useless too. But he put up good numbers last year, so he's pencilled in as the CF. I would be hesitant signing him long term, which is the only good thing the jays did. Not signing him in the offseason to an extension was the right move considering we don't know which Rasmus will get in 2014. Worse case it costs us a couple of m more if he does duplicate his stats, but could save a lot more if he doesn't.

Correction: However, unless Davis had... 4ever500 is being an *******... he would have been out anyway
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Oh FFS, and Kratz hits a line drive right to the defender.
Flamingweazel Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 WTF is up with yank cheap hits, yet Jays cannot buy a hit? Ellsbury kills us.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 f*** you ump! Of course Jeter gets the damn call!
bzapple Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 What the f*** ump? Old man Jeter getting the call
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Ump just gave Jeter a retirement gift.
Sparky12 Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 If Sierra is just going to sit on the bench and do nothing, we really should acquire someone else or call up Gose Nice to have bench players that excel in at least one area of the game, either defense, base running, offense, Sierra really doesn't excel at anything
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Hope im wrong but anybody else feel like we might let this one slip through our fingers???
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Every game against the Yankees I swear... There's always a strike/ball call that f***s the jays in crucial game-changing situations.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 That was filthy, nice pitch Cecil
