You can't rule out trades. Melky is a free agent. Lind is year to year with his player options. Its not a move you have to make right away. But something to consider next year upgrading CF over LF. Bautista really needs to move asap.

 

 

Right, gives you options. Hey, maybe trade Bautista for a nice haul. Not saying you they should do it, but you never know what a GM might offer.

Well no f***ing s*** you can't rule out trades, but you keep arguing that the team is worse off currently by playing Rasmus in CF and Bautista in RF, my argument is that with this current team we have no better alternatives. And I too would love to acquire a better CF, but just because there are better out there doesn't make Rasmus a bad one.

There's no reason to prematurely move a player off a position because he's destined to move eventually. Bautista plays an okay RF, leave him there. And we need Lind.

I really don't get this argument. Bautista has FAR more value in RF than 1st.

 

He doesn't understand positional value because it implies you have to be a good offensive player, whatever that means.

I don't want to hear about positional value arguement again its stupid. Both 1B and RF are power positions. As long as we are upgrading Outfield defence its a postive move having Bautista play 1B over Lind and Edwin who are both poor defenders.
