Convo Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Cecil, somehow you've become money. Thank you.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Taking out Santos (the closer) to put in a lefty in this situation is something 80% of managers would not do. Gibbons is the man. Longoria has crushed M.B. in his career, there was nothing wrong with going with Santos. It's about winning and he put us in the best position to win. Couldn't agree more
Gen.Disarray Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Wow what a game. That would have been heartbreaking. f***ing Gem from Buehrle.
Convo Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Al east first place confimed hollllllyyyy shhhieeeettt And on pace to go 108-54.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 THRILLED to be 2-1 to start the season
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Taking 3/4 from Tampa to open the season would be freaking awesome.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Cecil, somehow you've become money. Thank you. Cause he's being used perfectly
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Yeah, I probably would have let Buehrle face Longoria, but you can't really complain. Going to Cecil was a great move. Yup. Taking out Santos and going to Cecil was a solid move.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I don't get it whats wrong with bringing cecil in... Nothing. It was the right move.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Gibby's moves were ok.... MB at 108 pitches, Longoria coming up.... he had Cecil getting ready while Santos was pitching, odds strongly in Jays favour that either Santos or Cecil would get an out
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I don't get it whats wrong with bringing cecil in... Nothing was wrong with the Cecil move, the Santos move was silly though.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 So who started building the Mark Buerhle shrine?
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 We're 2-1 lol over .500 we can take it tomorrow! I meant this series *at least
Chappy Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Taking 3/4 from Tampa to open the season would be freaking awesome. Absolutely, especially when most would have been thrilled with a split and probably expecting just 1/4.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 So who started building the Mark Buerhle shrine? Hopefully nobody... But this was a very nice game from him!
Convo Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Cause he's being used perfectly That and the Delabar throwing program (velocity incr, etc.)
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Go to the damn Marlins board already! Oh squirrel. Guaranteed split in TB and i'm liking their chances tomorrow, they be swagging right now.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Strong outing by Morrow tomorrow, win or lose, would make me very optimistic. Just improve the damn bench AA
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Hopefully nobody... But this was a very nice game from him! Lol, love Buerhle either way, and when he can have games 1/2 as good as this consistently would be awesome.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Buerhle in the post game "Don't expect this every time" LOL
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Mark Buerhle knows what's up: "It's just one start" Such a likeable pitcher!
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Love this. Team SP ERA with Navarro catching is like 0.0000000. Hurray for small sample size! But seriously it's like night and day. Probably the best game Buehlre has pitched as a Jay. I was not that excited about the Navarro signing but I must admit if these 2 games are any indication of things, the catcher spot is a massive improvement not just a slight improvement through addition by subtraction.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 good game, sierra sucks, buehrle is king, jose da man, go jays
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Strong outing by Morrow tomorrow, win or lose, would make me very optimistic. Just improve the damn bench AA I know! Is that too much to ask??? Need a better 4th OF who can hit lefties
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Lol, love Buerhle either way, and when he can have games 1/2 as good as this consistently would be awesome. Yeah, I'd be totally happy if he gave up twice as many runs as he gave up tonight every game!
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Strong outing by Morrow tomorrow, win or lose, would make me very optimistic. Just improve the damn bench AA Sierra shouldn't be on this team, send a catcher down as well, i wouldn't mind both gose and kawasaki up here
Chappy Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 A series win would be huge to start the year. Plus we will have Lind in the lineup tomorrow as well. I'm expecting Kratz to be catching tomorrow as well seeing as Navarro has gone B2B games and since we have 3 catchers we must keep him rested.
