Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Lol man, he may have been a dictator of sorts but he didn't commit massacres on his own people, he's also one of the only people ever of significance to speak up about the US' ********. Fair 'nuff, I was mostly referring to the insanity.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Sierra vs Moore?? Hard to sit Lind though... What is the point of Sierra being on the team if he doesnt play. Having a big bat off the bench in Lind late is also huge
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Seitzer had some really good at bats in this game...let's hope MLB keeps letting him hit for every Blue Jays player.
Convo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Great game. Is Hutch the real thing? Diaz, way to contribute, we needed that to soften the Reyes blow.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 IMO you have to sit Lind. One of the keys to Lind's success last year was that Gibby never gave in to the temptation to start playing him every day. Put Kratz at catcher and Navarro at DH. If I see this, I will be so f***ing happy
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'll be pretty surprised if Toronto doesn't take tomorrow's game. Matt Moore just doesn't match up well against a team with multiple patient RH power hitters. We could see the bats take off tomorrow. Extactly this is a guy who walked 61 righthanded batters in 103.2 innings last year. Not good unless he found the Randy Johnson fountain of greatness
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I thought Navarro had a decent game. Threw a runner out and made the opposing pitchers work, big improvement right there over the former Jays catcher.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Tomorrow Kratz C and Navarro DH; Lind and Sierra bench
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'd like to see this lineup tmrw 1. Lawrie 3B 2. Melky LF 3. Bautista RF 4. Edwin 1B 5. Navarro DH 6. Kratz C 7. Rasmus CF 8. Diaz SS 9. Goins 2B
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'd like to see this lineup tmrw 1. Lawrie 3B 2. Melky LF 3. Bautista RF 4. Edwin 1B 5. Navarro DH 6. Kratz C 7. Rasmus CF 8. Diaz SS 9. Goins 2B I'm sitting goins, did you see what ramos did to him. Imagine what the filthy stuff of Moore is gonna do to him. Break him forever
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 I'm sitting goins, did you see what ramos did to him. Imagine what the filthy stuff of Moore is gonna do to him. Break him forever Ya I agree, f*** it, I thought Goins would be decent vs. 2B: 1. Lawrie 3B 2. Melky LF 3. Bautista RF 4. Edwin 1B 5. Navarro DH 6. Kratz C 7. Rasmus CF 8. Izzy 2B 9. Diaz SS
Caper Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I would definitely say tonights play of the game is when Ryan a Goins sacrificed himself and moved that runner up to second... Allowing Diaz to get him home.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'd like to see this lineup tmrw 1. Lawrie 3B 2. Melky LF 3. Bautista RF 4. Edwin 1B 5. Navarro DH 6. Kratz C 7. Rasmus CF 8. Diaz SS 9. Goins 2B Replace Goins with Izturis and I'd be fine with that lineup against Moore.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Am I the only person who would plug Sierra in tomorrow? Let Navarro catch and DH Sierra (both hit LH well). Come on guys. Congrats to Kratz for hitting a HR the other day but let's not get carried away. Sierra has flaws but he's still a better hitter. 1. Melky 2. Lawrie 3. Bautista 4. Edwin 5. Navarro C 6. Sierra 7. Rasmus 8. Izturis 2B 9. Diaz

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 thats why I'm in favor of starting lind at first so Sierra can get at bats late in the game
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I think Sierra plays tomorrow, he's the only one with no AB's so far in this season and Biggons will want to give him some AB's...Zaun will be pissed.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I want to see what Sierra can provide for us. I know that most people here hate him but the bat speed is undeniable. If he can just limit the bonehead mistakes in the field he can be useful strictly against LHP.
jayswin11 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I think they'll give Navarro a day off, catch Kratz and DH Sierra.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I think they'll give Navarro a day off, catch Kratz and DH Sierra. It's the 3rd game of the year!
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 It's the 3rd game of the year! lol imagine if we have to rest Navarro every 3 days
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I actually thunk Kratz is a better hitter than Sierra. I don't necessarily disagree but he's on the roster therefore he will get at bats. He's got a over career 800 ops against Lefties in the minors.

Let's see what he can do while Reyes is out IMO.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 This dude is hliarious f*** YOU LIND Stop making it hard to dislike you every year!!!!
BigJuan Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Just finished watching this game. We won! The Jays approach stood out to me, seemed like a more patient team than I'm used to. Hutch looked decent too. Yea thats was really nice to see, really made cobb work and throw strikes.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Great game to watch, turned into a nail biter at the end but Santos took care of it.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Great game to watch, turned into a nail biter at the end but Santos took care of it. the defense was s***, uncharacteristic of lawrie and Idk what Rasmus was doing playing that shallow.
