I'm a baseball fan first and foremost. The Jays are a geographic convenience for me. Honestly a lot of what I'm saying today is true...but I'm saying it in a very tongue-in-cheek way. In between me leaving my job and returning to school I spent 2 years watching baseball, mostly minor league ball. The only teams I made sure I watched every game were the Jays affiliates and if I'm in the position to do so again this summer I will watch every Buffalo, Lansing and NH game on TV. In that way I'm kind of an enigma as I truly want to see future Jays...but I couldn't care less about the team that the Jays are throwing out there.

They were willing to give Santana 14M, why not give Drew some of that? He'd improve the team significantly. Looking at how out starting rotation looks, he helps probably more than Santana would.

 

Why go half assed in to this season when there is help out there for the taking and there's so much on the line??

 

Sign Drew now. Look for a better bench player via trade. Dump the dead weight (Izturis especially). See how the SP looks mid season and re-evaluate where you stand then. They could get this team in to contention.

Reyes missing a LOT of time again

The quality of the backups for MIF

Black holes in lineup with Goins Izturis Thole

I don't think I can watch another Dickey start for the rest of the year. Every time I look at him I think Syndergaard/d'Arnaud.

I'm worried about Reyes....but his injury today didn't look that serious....I think Dickey will be fine...knuckleballers go through games like this....I think izzy could have a bounce back season...I think goins should be in AAA...same for Thole..
