Cecil is likely better than any "closer" they could get via trade or free agency... but I hope they just ditch the idea of "closer" and use the best pitcher in the toughest situation, regardless of the save situation...

 

So who replaces Cecil

 

Cecil is good at where he is. Don't understand this desire to change players who excel at certain positions role.

 

It wasn't too long ago that Cecil couldn't keep the ball down

I just want AA to acquire 2 good pen arms, don't care if any of them have closer experience. Figure out who slots where in March/April.

The Orioles have agreed to a one-year deal with free agent outfielder Delmon Young, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports (Twitter links). The deal is pending physical, and that will not take place until the new year, Kubatko adds.

Steamer projects him to be below replacement level next year. Be it not much, -0.1. Can't want to see the O's and their stupid luck run out next season.

@mlbbowman: The #Braves and A.J. Pierzynski have reached agreement on a 1 yr. deal Deal is pending a physical. Likely won't be official until early Jan.

I'm hoping Jimenez stays healthy for a change to see how good his D is. I'd be more than fine with that. We'll see...

Tulo deal appears to need a 3rd and maybe even a 4th team to get done with the Mets (there is someone the Mets won't move). Only thing I can see here for the Jays is the Rockies wealth of relievers...but I don't think the Rockies are looking to add.

Well I am bored, so how about a 3 way! Lol trade proposal that is! Just to liv'in things up in here and cause Spanky hates blockbuster trades! Lol

 

Let's see how about Washington, Seattle and the Jays!

 

To seattle Desmond, span, Estrada and Jenkins plus up to 6 mill from the Jays.

 

To the Nationals Reyes, Navarro, Pillar, Izturis, Shanchez and Tiajuan plus up to 4 mill from the Jays.

 

To the Jays Clippard,Espinosa, Dom Leone,Bloomquist, Jackson and Kivelhan

 

Looks fair for all involved, money wise and player wise more or less I think! Lol
