I just cannot for the life of me understand why a team that itself publicly states that it needs pitching won't just give Medlen a few million. But, maybe they have an agreement to sign him back for some tiny incentive laden contract or something.

 

Drabek hasn't looked good at all coming off of his second TJS but he also was no where near Medlen level coming off his first one.

I wonder if ones sexuality has an impact at all on umpiring skills, I mean...you gotta be really close to some of those guys to accurately call a play and it might be distracting. It's that human factor.
