The enforcement of that rule is terrible. He's clearly well off the baseline when he makes that lateral side-leap. I wish they actually called more batters out for this.

Another loss for the Texas Rangers.. 3-21 since they were last at .500 in mid June, and now 20.5 back. Have you seen a collapse worse than this? Even this makes the Jays look good..

The Rangers are like us now, except their pitching is like our offense (abysmal and injured).

 

We're not comparable to the Rangers. Our pitching is still well ahead of Texas, who have Yu Darvish and little else. And our offense, even with injuries, is still better than Texas.

 

When your rotation after Darvish is a broken down Colby Lewis, an untested Nick Tepesch and Nick Martinez(who's on the DL), Miles Mikolas, Scott Baker, a washed up Phil Irwin, and tomorrow, busted Mariners prospect Ryan Feierabend, this team makes last year's Jays team look good...

Exactly. It's night and day.

 

Which is why the Jays are a high flying 11-22 since June 6th, and the Rangers are a decrepit 7-26 in that span. So thankful to be 4 games better than the worst team in baseball over the last 5 weeks (and on a 54 win pace over that period). Brings a calm to the soul.

 

Giants fans feel the same way(9-21).
